Who's Austin Mahone Anyways?

Chapter Two

"So are you good at this?" I asked as we observed the cell through the microscope.

"Not really. I'm better at making things explode." He joked.

"You won't set my hair on fire will you?" I asked.

"That's what happened to my last lab partner." He said looking over at a boy with very short hair. He saw the expression on my face then started laughing hysterically.

"You scared me so much. Jerk." I said hitting him playfully.

We continued with the lab and finished it ten minutes before class ended.

"So how do you like it here so far?" He asked.

"It's okay. I mean, the classes are pretty boring. Like to the point where I could die. But the people seem cool, the one person I have talked to at least." I said. Maddie why did you just say that, why?

"So I'm cool?" Alex said smiling.

"I guess." I said shyly.

"Wait until you meet the crew." He said.

"What?"

"The crew. My friends.." He explained.

"Oh no. There are more like you?" I joked.

"Three more in fact." He told me.

"Oh well aren't you cool." I said sarcastically.

"I am, you said so yourself." He said as the bell rang and he walked away.

The thing that new kids dread the most, lunch. You have no friends, therefore you have nowhere to sit.

I was honestly going to eat lunch in a bathroom stall like Lindsay Lohan does in Mean Girls. But as I was just about to walk out of the cafeteria and towards the bathroom Alex grabbed me and lead me to a table. Damn it!

"Thought you'd take the easy way out, huh?" He said dragging me so I didn't run away. He brought me to a circular table with eight seats, three of them taken by boys.

"Maddie, this is most of the crew. A couple are missing. But that's Robert," He told me pointing to a kid in a red shirt. Pretty cute, not really my type though.

"Then Tyler, or Little Tyler T," He said pointing to a kid with black thick frame glasses, again cute kid.

"And Zach." He said pointing to last kid sitting at the table, he wasn't as cute as the others but he looked like a nice guy.

"Hi." I said waving slightly.

"Guys this is Maddie, she's new. She's super nice and funny but she's beat me up twice since this morning so I'd be careful, she's a bully." He joked.

"You're the bully. You lied and said that you set someone's hair on fire!" I defended myself.

"Well, you did burn Timmy's eyebr-" Robert started.

"Let's not talk about that okay?" Alex cut him off.

I took a step back from him and the guys started laughing.

"She's in." Robert said after he calmed himself down from laughing.

"I'm part of a crew? Do I need to be inducted or something? Like a special ritual." I joked. They didn't laugh.

"Actually there is.." Alex began.

"I don't have to burn a kid's eyebrows off do I?" I asked.

Robert and Zach laughed but Tyler and Alex remained serious.

"The ritual is quite simple really.." Alex started and then I learned how I was probably going to end up killing myself.

"I have to what?" I almost screamed.

"That's right. We all did it, you have to too." Alex said.

I have to sneak onto a farm and steal a chicken.

"What if I get caught?" I asked.

"Run." Robert said and the rest of the guys laughed.

At this point we were sitting down eating food. I had brown bagged it since I had no idea what the lunch cost or was like.

I now knew that I was going to be so fat eventually because the nachos, which I stole from Alex, were so good I could eat them for the rest of my life and be happy.

"I guess you can hang with us until you get a chance to get to a farm.. Friday night you steal a chicken." Alex said.

Shit.
