Chapter 5

Adley

it had been almost a month since Morgan had her little incident and things were going well. I know I said to not trust things that they tell us and I'm not, but they just are kind and treat us nice. Training is going well, and I have enough control that I can make somebody do a full sprint from one end of the room to the other. When we get out of here- that is if we ever do, I'm thinking of joining the avengers like my parents. Except I wonder if I would be too young. I haven't told Gary and Dr.Turner yet because they don't like the Avengers. They try and tell us that they are bad. But I don't listen to them because I know how many people the Avengers have saved. Then again, they failed from saving half the planet. Morgan interrupts my thoughts by saying "I'm sick of whatever they feed us here. I want Taco Bell" We were sitting at the table eating lunch of cold soup. "Who even makes this?" Ardan says. "I don't know we have never seen anyone here other than Gary and Dr. Turner." Katie points out. "Thats a little weird." I speak. "Maybe Ardan can change this soup into Taco Bell" Morgan complained. "I'm not nearly that strong." Ardan laughed. Just then Gary walked into the room. "Spoons down and follow me" He said. We all set our spoons down and followed him. "Could you tell us what day it is today?" I asked. I had not heard the date in a while for all I know it could be Christmas. Its November 18" I Missed my birthday!" Ardan complained loudly. "Well congratulations your 13." I spoke. "Umm where are we going?" Katie asked. We were walking down a hallway that I had never seen before. "No questions just walk." Gary said. We finally reached two swinging doors. Gary reached and opened them, and we walked into a giant room where two men stood.  

Katie

These men that were standing here, they almost looked unhuman like. "Who are these people?" I asked in full curiosity and maybe a little furious. "They are just bots" Gary says. After Morgan's accident and me freakishly little meltdown I didn't want to see anyone knew, I didn't want anything big to happen again, I haven't found my necklace yet or my slip ring, and as soon as I find them, I'm getting us out of here. Part of me has this weird feeling, I'm not sure if it's a guilt feeling or a sad feeling that if we do leave, I'm afraid I'm going to miss them, they've done a good job growing on me, but there's no way I'm not leaving my parents. I wonder if my mom wants to Tony for help. "These are you test subjects; Ardan I know how you like to destroy things so here they are. Think of this as your birthday present." Gary says, He's gotten used to us calling him that, where with Dr. Turner, I still hate his guts. "Worst birthday present ever." Ardan says, I know she's joking, but the others don't. She does that thing where everyone thinks she's being serious but then she surprises everyone with a just kidding thing. "Guys relax, I'm just kidding" see? I never noticed we are in a new room, this one has windows and sunlight is coming in, the equipment is bigger, probably heavier too. "Is this a new training room?" Adley asks, "No, we just haven't used it in a while." Dr. Turner says I shoot him a glare, He gets on my nerves so much. "Well girls, uh, have fun!" Dr. Turner says looking away from me, I've obviously made him uncomfortable. Him and Gary suit us up and leave, we have guns and shit, these bots can't be that dangerous. As I'm watching Dr. Dipshit and Gary leave I notice 2 people with files walking, I am watching them go into a room labelled "Record room" Oh my god it's the file room I can finally get us out of here! I need a plan.

Morgan

Katie walks over to me. "we need a plan" Katie says pulling me away from Adley and Adran. "Huh" I say confused "I need my necklace back and we need to get out of here" Katie whispers. I'm so glad she thinks that because I feel like no one cares that we got kidnapped and no one knows where we are. Everyone seems way to ok with this. I look at her and nod. Then Adley and Ardan walk up to us. "hey what are you guys talking about" Ardan asks "we need to get out of here" Katie says. "I agree, what's the plan" Adley says hesitantly. I look at my feet for a second expecting Katie to say something. "Thats the thing we don't have one yet" Katie explains. "well, we'll just have to come up with one" Adley says confidently "duh' I say. No one should be that confident saying something that obvious. Adley rolls her eyes. "guys we need to think" Ardan says closing her eyes tight. "we should try and get the door open first" Adley says. "maybe it would be better if we stayed here and actually tried to work on our powers, that way we have a better Chanse of ..." I start when Katie cuts me off "Morgan shh the smart ones are thinking go kick the box or something" I look at her for a second. Then her eyes light up. "wait Morgan that actually gave me a good idea. If we can work on our powers and learn how to control them more, getting out of here will be a piece of cake!" yep, that's what I said. "ok on a count of three try and use your powers and we'll see how much we can handle them" I say looking around. Everyone nods "ok 1...2...3" Ardans eyes start glowing blue and the bottles of water float up right in front of us. I turn to Adley and the fish in the tank all start swimming in circles. I turn my head to look at Katie, but I can't see her. This goes on for about a minute and then I noticed how red Adley's face was. "ok you guys can stop" Katie comes back and Ardan and Adley turn to me. "what about you Morgan" Ardan says. "I don't know try throwing something at me" I breath in to prepare. The girls each pick up a water bottle and throw it at me I lift my hands and a purple bubble form around me. When the water bottles were outside of the bubble on the ground, I put my hands down and the bubble goes away. I look at them "what about the elemental control thing" Ardan says "no I don't want to do that I have force fields and I'm a good fighter isn't that enough" I complain "no stop being a baby you are stuck with it you have to figure it out" Ardan says. "close your eyes and really focus" Katie says. So, I try I close my eyes and try and clear my mind. Oh no. It's happening again except this time it's in my head. I start breathing heavily and put my hands on my head. "somethings happening" Adley says. This isn't as bad as the last one, but it hurts. Then it stops. I look at them. "are you ok" Ardan asks. "Ya I'm fine I had a headache, but nothing happened" I exclaimed. That was weird "Morgan your eyes are glowing" Adley said her voice braking. "that's weird it stopped maybe it's an on and off thing" Adran added "maybe now I'll have better control over the elements" I say taking a lighter out of my pocket "what are you doing Morgan why do you have a lighter" Katie yells I put paper on the floor turn on the lighter and I drop it. I walk over and stand right in the middle. It doesn't hurt! The fire starts getting bigger. I watch it for a second. Then I put my hands out then down and the fire goes away. 

Ardan

"Wow Morgan that was seriously cool" I said after watching her literally stand in fire. "The only thing I find concerning is that you carry a LIGHTER in your pocket." Adley said. "Where did you even get it?" Morgan just shrugged like it was no big deal. "The important thing is that I can control my elemental control better now." Morgan said. "That is true, but we should start forming our actual plan to get out of here" Katie said. I turned and looked at the robots standing in the middle of the room watching us. "Umm guys" I said pointing at the robots. "Shit" Adley whispered. "You don't think they could be watching us?" Morgan asked cautiously. Just in case I ran up to the unmoving robots and checked their eyes. I could hear clicking and whirring noises. Without skipping a beat, I ran my hands over their eyes, and they exploded knocking me back. "Ardan are you okay?" Morgan asked running over. "Yeah, I think so" I said getting up. The robots spit out electric sparks and then slowly died. "What did you do?" Katie asked. "There were cameras and microphones in their eyes so I tried to get rid of them. It worked" I replied. "Okay wow you are more powerful than we thought." Adley said. Just then Gary and Dr. Turner ran out of the room they were in. "WHAT DID YOU GUYS DO" Gary roared at us and we froze.
