Dancing in the Rain

Chapter 57

Christmas Eve here we come.

I woke up the next morning to Sammy shaking me awake. "It's Christmas Eve wake up, mommy made pancakes" I slowly opened my eye so see Sammys giant smile.

I shook techno awake before heading to the kitchen still in our matching pajamas. We hadn't shown his family our outfits until right now.

They all glanced at both of us before speaking. "Let me guess this was y/n's idea?" His dad said. "Actually I feel like it's technos idea" Kyle said.

They all chose which one of us they thought came up with the idea before I spoke up. "Technically it was my idea but he never tried to stop me or convince me otherwise"

They nodded before his mom handed us both a plate with pancakes on it. We ate and talked about our plans for the day.

"I was thinking today we could watch some Christmas movies maybe make hot cocoa and for dinner we can have some leftovers since tomorrow we'll have a big meal." His mom said.

Everyone agreed. Me and techno decided we're gonna wear our matching pajamas to bed again tonight so we can match on Christmas.

After breakfast I helped his mom clean up and said "what's the plan for dinner tomorrow" she smiled "I'm preparing a ham today along with a bunch of sides we make every year"

I nodded "this is the first real Christmas I've ever had and it's amazing already" she looked at me confused. "Don't you usually celebrate with your family?"

I shook my head no "my family would usually just be playing on their phones they also never bought gifts"

She came over and hugged me "I'm so sorry sweetheart your always welcome to spend holidays with us your a part of the family you know"

I hugged back "thank you it really means so much" techno walked in as we were hugging and said "did I miss something"

His mom pulled away and said "how did you convince this amazing girl to go out with you?" He looked fake offended.

I replied before he could. "It took a lot of convincing" she laughed. He walked over and hugged me from behind. "I guess I just got lucky"

I turned to hug him, his mom went back to cleaning up and prepping food. Techno leaned down and kissed me.

"I love you" I snuggled my head into his chest as I replied "I love you too" we stood like this for a few minutes before heading back to the living room.

Sammy ran up to us "can we watch the grinch my dad said we can if you guys agree." I didn't care what techno was going to say i spoke first "we would love to watch the grinch"

Techno just laughed. His hand landed on my lower back and we walked to the couch. We sat down on the love seat together cuddled up close with a blanket on top of us.

His mom soon came out from the kitchen holding a plate of hot chocolate. We all took a mug and started drinking it.

Sitting here drinking hot cocoa watching Christmas movies with the man I love is the best fucking thing in the whole world.

We finished the movie and immediately played another. Me and techno got up to stretch. I walked around the house a bit picking up Sammys mess.

I walked back out to see techno sitting by the tree. I sat next to him and we just talked as the other movie played.

After a while we sat back down to cuddle. Not saying anything just watching the movie together with his family.

The rise and fall of his chest was so soothing. I could hear his heartbeat. I soon drifted off to sleep.
