Pain is what makes us who we are. At least that's what Alura used to think. She figured she'd be a better person without all the pain. Harry thinks differently. Another reason they hate each other, along with many more.

After the Tri-wizard Tournament, Alura and Cedric began dating. Harry and Alura moved in with Sirius and Stefan. for the first time in a while, Alura felt at peace. Harry couldn't help but feel paranoid at times. He often felt like there was more coming. It all just seemed too easy to him.

Cedric was in Alura's room secretly. He snuck in through her window.

Alura was on top of Cedric, kissing him. She giggled as Cedric flipped her over. He reconnected their lips, and they moved in sync. Harry abruptly opened the door to see the two.

"Sometimes I wish Voldemort had just killed me," he muttered. "I just came to tell you dinners ready." He walked out of the room with a huff.

Cedric rolled off of Alura. "I need to get going anyway. See you at Hogwarts tomorrow?"

Alura agreed and said goodbye to him with a smile. Cedric returned the smile, then exited through her window. Alura sat at her bay window and watched through the window to make sure he got out safely. When Cedric turned around, he held up his pinkie finger and kissed it. Alura did the same before smiling at him. It was their way of saying, I love you. She looked at the sky from her window for a few more seconds before deciding to go downstairs. Alura entered the dining room and sat next to her uncle Stefan and across from Sirius, next to Harry.

"What took you so long to get down here?" Stefan asked, although he had a slight suspicion of the reason

"Cedric had a nice visit. Very, very nice," said Harry, raising the fork to his mouth. "By nice, I mean, Alura and Cedric were seconds away from ripping each other's clothes off."

Stefan sent Alura an alarming look.

"Asshole," she muttered.

Sirius just looked back and forth between the two.

"Is the hero Alura so upset because she and her boyfriend can't make out secretly anymore?" Harry teased.

"I don't know how I've lived with you for the past two months. You are infuriating." She stormed out of the dining room.

"That's kinda the point!" He called.

"Don't be jealous because you can't snog Ginny!" she called back.

"Fuck off!"

Sirius and Stefan gave each other a look before asking questions.

"Why do you two hate each other so much?" Sirius asked. "You used to be best friends."

"I'm gonna go scold Alura for having a boy in her room," Stefan said sarcastically. He then walked out of the dining room.

"Maybe you should ask Alura why I hate her so much. She's the problem."

"Is it because of Cedric? Because you liked him?"

"No. It's a supporting factor, but no," Harry scoffed.

"Harry, just tell me. I won't tell Stefan."

"Sirius, our hatred for each other started years ago. Began in the second year. It just took us 'till last year to figure out that we're miserable with each other."

Sirius sighed. "Harry, why hold a grudge?"

"Sirius, you have no idea what she has done." He abruptly dropped his fork on his plate. "She was willing to give up Ginny," he said. "And to top it all off, she started dating the person she knew I liked. That fucking hurt. I hope she feels the pain that I felt that night. She said I was collateral damage. Fucking collateral damage."
