The next day after classes, Katerina and Alura were at the owlery sending letters to their loved ones.
"Who'd you write to?"
"Alana. She finds it awesome how owls can carry letters. I thought I'd surprise her, you?"
Alana is Katerina's older sister. The two live together since Bellatrix is in Azkaban, and despite that, she isn't the ideal mother figure.
"Sirius."
"It sucks that Peter was never caught," Katerina said sadly.
"Yeah."
On the other side, Harry and his friends were headed to the owlery. The three entered the owlery and met eyes with Katerina and Alura.
Hermione mumbled something under her breath, causing Katerina to glare at her.
"Do you have something to say, Hermione? I'd prefer you to say it to my face rather than bad mouth me to Weasley and Potter," Katerina spoke confidently.
"Fine. I think you shouldn't be trusted. How do we know you're not working with your mother to raise Voldemort again, huh?"
"I am not my mother," she replied.
"You might as well be."
Before Katerina could respond, Alura pulled her away.
"I cannot stand her," Katerina said frustratedly.
"I get it. I have to put up with her since she's friends with Harry."
"I don't know how you could last five minutes with her. Nonetheless, hours, for you, anyway."
"We should get to the book store if we're gonna make it before they close."
-
Alura and Katerina arrived at a muggle book store. Katerina went down another aisle while Alura was skimming through a book in her current aisle. That's when Harry appeared next to her.
Harry was there with Hermione since she practically forced him to go with her. He thought he'd at least try to find a book. Alura saw him skip past one of her favorites; I'll Love You Tomorrow. (This is the other book that I previously finished, I just thought I'd reference it).
"You should try it. It's one of my favorites," Alura suggested. "I think you'd like it." She continued down the aisle, leaving Harry skimming through the book.
Hermione saw how deeply intrigued he was with the book as a small smile appeared on her face.
"You know you have to buy the book if you want to complete it," she chuckled. "C'mon, let's go check out."
He nodded and followed Hermione to the register. After the two checked out, they went to The Three Broomsticks to take a break from their shopping.
"I've never seen you read so much," Hermione inspected. "You'll have to lend it to me when you've finished. What's it about anyway?"
"Currently, the protagonist is rejecting the love interest. I'll let you know when I finish this chapter."
Hermione smiled and said, "I'll go get some drinks."
