HARRY's POV

What the hell am I supposed to say to a question like that? I don't even know if I like her. I could just be confused. I know for a fact I don't like Ginny anymore. I don't think she's interested in me anyway.

So I said the only thing I could.

"No one."

I probably could've said something better...

It could just be my imagination, but Alura looks almost disappointed. And maybe deep down, I want her to be. One thing I do know is that this will shut down things between us completely. We're bad for each other, and we both know that.

She covers up her disappointment with a smile. "It's your turn."

"Right. Uh, do you think that we could ever be friends again?"

"No," Alura answered me. "We couldn't be just friends."

My head snapped up at her words. She thinks that we couldn't be just friends. We were before, why couldn't we be again?

"We should go back inside. Stefan wants me to help him with the cookies for tomorrow," she lied.

I know she's lying because Stefan already made the cookies. I smelled them when we first arrived.

I nodded my head and helped her onto the dock before pulling myself up. She puts on Cedric's T-shirt again, which for some reason made me upset.

The walk back is silent. The only sound between us is the grass crunching underneath our feet.

Before we reached the door, I asked her, "Can I tell you something?"

She nodded.

"I don't think we could be just friends either."

I walk past her and into the house. I have no clue what her reaction was, and I don't think I want to.

I decided to take a shower to attempt to clear my head, but Alura is the only thing I can think about.

ALURA's POV

Although I know Stefan already made cookies for everyone tomorrow, I go to see if he made any extra. He didn't, and if he did he ate them.

Stefan wanders into the kitchen, and sure enough, he has a drink in his hand, but I can tell he's not drunk.

"Is there any extra cookie batter?"

"Nope," Stefan answered me.

"Is there literally anything to do in here? I need a distraction."

"Tonks will be here in a few minutes." He shrugged. "But until then, could you please get Harry's shaving cream out of his bathroom? Sirius ran out and now he's using mine... unfortunately."

I laughed and agreed. Harry and I's bathroom is connected. Meaning, there are doors to it in both of our rooms. There are other bathrooms in the house, but it's just convenient for us to use this one.

When I get to my room, I hear the shower running. I know the curtain is closed so I won't see Harry naked. I open the door, and I see the foggy mirror.

"Alura?" Harry called from the shower.

"Yeah, sorry. Sirius ran out of shaving cream and-" Why am I explaining myself? It's my bathroom too. "Never mind. Just tell me where your shaving cream is please."
