chapter 12- tired

As Dally and I walked to Bucks I felt as if were being followed. I looked back and a blue mustang was trailing behind us. I nudged Dally and he looked back and saw it.

"get on my back," he said. I furrowed my eyebrows but did as he said. He walked a little faster but the mustang drove faster too.

They stopped and got out of the car so Dally stopped walking. "what do you want?" Dally scoffed. "we don't want any trouble just wanna talk," Bob said. "you're Bob Sheldon you never just wanna talk," I said.

"I did last time didn't I?" he snapped back at me and i just rolled my eyes. "Bob why are we here i thought we were going home," Randy said. "shut up, I heard that there was a party at the bar you stay at Winston," Bob said. "when there's always parties," Dally said calmly.

"end of the summer," Bob said. "and?" Dal asked. "we want invites," Bob said. "why would we invite you? and why would you even wanna come?" Dally asked. "just get us in or else," Bob said. "you think i'm scared of you Sheldon?" Dally asked.

"no but your little friend, the tan one, he is so don't tempt me," Bob said and walked off, Randy shaking his head walking behind him. "he's talking about Johnny isnt he?" I asked. "yeah but we ain't gonna let him hurt him," Dal said and we kept walking.

"hey why didn't I know about the party at bucks," I said flicking his head. "I was gonna tell ya it ain't for a week tho," He said. "alright," I said and we walked into bucks. I snatched a water from the mini fridge and ran to Dally's room and laid on the bed.

"ya need anything?" Dal asked. "no just sleep," I said. "alright I'm gonna go talk to buck," he said and walked out.

I fell asleep for what felt like hours, and it was. By the time I woke up it was 8 pm. I can't believe Dally didn't wake me up. I sat up and felt something move. I turned the lamp on and it was Soda.

"hey wake up," I said ruffling his hair which was surprisingly not greased back. "hey you're up," he said sitting up. "no I'm sleep talking," I said. he just smiled and kissed my cheek.

"how's your head?" he asked. "better," I replied smiling. "good," he said and grabbed my hand. "where's Dal?" I asked. "I don't know I would say with some broad but he and Rory have a date tomorrow," he said.

"oh I forgot about that," I said and stood up. "where ya going?" he asked. "home," I said. "Nova you can't go home what if your mom hits ya again?" he said taking both my hands.

"she wont, come with me and it'll be fine," I said. "what if Steve's there?" he asked. "then say that Buck called and wanted someone to walk me home and you were the one that answered the phone," I said.

"how do you lie so easily on the spot?" He asked laughing. "one of my many talents now let's go," I said and we walked home. we walked in and my mom was pacing around the room.

"Nova! you're here! Nova i'm so sorry sweetie I should never have hurt you I was just having a hard day and I was out of it please forgive me," she said examining my forehead.

"mom it's fine I know," I said smiling. "is Steve here?" I asked. "he is staying at Evies again," she said. I nodded and walked up to my room. I grabbed a towel and some pajamas and Soda said "whatcha doin?" "showering I need it," I said. he kissed my cheek and I went and showered.

It felt so good especially after the week I've had. It stung my forehead a little but I was fine. I got my clothes on and brushed out my hair and walked downstairs to see Soda trying to explain how to work a radio. How does she not know?

I laughed and went over to them. "Can I steal him from ya?" I joked. "go ahead," she said and went upstairs.

"can we watch a movie?" I asked and he nodded. "what movie?" he asked. "grease," I said and he laughed. he put it on and we cuddled under a blanket. My hair got his shirt all wet but he didn't seem to care.

Since I had been sleeping all day I wasn't tired at all. After the movie Soda was half asleep. "I'm not tired,"  I said and he laughed. "wanna play cards or something?" he asked. "sure," I said. we played cards and talked all night. until finally we fell asleep.
