Craving Blood

10 Drama

~*Jay POV*~

I hear a growl from my side. I look and see a flash of white. I turn and see a large white wolf pinning Claire. My wolf instantly takes over.

I'm about to attack the white wolf when a brown russet one blindsides me. He's the same size. I snap at his throat and miss. He grabs mine and tries to tear my skin but its too thick. I kick him the belly and send him flying.

I quickly tackle the white wolf off of Claire. Grabbing the white scruff, I shake my head tearing the skin off the wolf.

I pin the wolf and bite down on its neck enough to draw more blood and leave scars. I let go and my wolf growls.

I let the white wolf go, and he runs away with tail in-between his legs. The russet wolf tackles me then. I use my weigh to roll us so that I end on top. I use my teeth and bite down on his front leg. He tries to kick me off but I'm too heavy.

I snap his leg bone in half. I release the leg and bite down on his neck. I bite till I draw blood and leave scars before releasing him to follow his friend. 

I run to where Claire is in a heap. I sniff her. I only smell fear on her. I push my nose into her side. She looks at me with her sky blue eyes. I see worry and fear in them. 'Claire, are you hurt? Their gone, Hun. I took care of them.'

She looks around and gets up slowly. 'I want to go back to the house Jay.' I nodd and we head off to the main house. She goes in by the dog door. I head off into the woods where I had stored my clothes. I shift and get dressed. By the time I'm back at the house Claire is waiting by the door.

I grab her and hug her to my chest, "I will always protect you. You saw how I saved you from that white wolf. And as long as I live I will protect you."

She hugged me tightly. "Thank you Jay. Can we go have dinner? I'm hungry and would feel safer in a house."

I nodd and we head to my house.

We walk in and Lisa stares at me with a look of worry. "Where have ya'll been? I've been trying to link you since this morning."

"What are you talking about? I told you I was going to Claire's to be with her till dinner. Did something happen?"

She stomped her foot. "Our cousins, Mike and Nick were attacked in the woods by a huge black wolf a few moments ago. Where the hell were you?"

"I was with Claire as we took a run. We were attacked too. But by a white wolf and a russet wolf. They smelled familiar but they tried to pin me and Claire. I took care of them and they ran off."

Lisa looked at me in shock. "You were attacked? Those assholes! You must've been the black wolf. Nick is white and Mike is the russet. You snapped the russet's front leg?" I nodd and walk over to the couch where Claire sits down.

"Well I know that they attacked me first." Claire shivers at the memory. My wolf forces me to sit down and rap my arm around her.

Lisa takes a seat in a love seat across from the couch. "Well they tried to say that they were looking of an Omega to beat and they were the ones attacked by a unknown wolf that smelled like the pack. You must've blocked your mind off without noticing."

I nodd. "Well they both will have scars on their necks because I made sure I could find them later. Claire didn't get hurt. Just scared to hell. I would've been but my wolf took over."

Lisa nodds and looks out the window. The look of confusion on her face lingers for a moment. The clock starts to chime 5 and Lisa looks at me. "How were you able to beat them both? Your Omega blood. And I know for a fact that you have the gene for it. I can just barely smell it on you. How is it possible that you beat both of them? They have the fighter's blood but you snapped Mike's leg like a toothpick judging from its condition."

I thought back to how my wolf seemed larger then how it was yesterday under the couch. How my wolf has gotten stronger since I’ve let him loose. "I don't know Lisa. My wolf seems much larger and stronger then her was before my shift. I don't understand it."

Claire finally started to find her voice then. "Yesterday when he shifted, he easily hide under the couch. He seemed the ideal Omega. But today when we were running he was twice his previous size and we are almost the same size now. That white wolf easily pinned me but couldn’t even affect Jay with his kick. And every wolf we passed was smaller or same size."

Lisa still seemed confused. She was about to ask more questions but mother called from the kitchen. "Lisa, come help me please."

Lisa left and I kissed Claire in the head. My wolf wanted more but I knew that I should only do what I had permission for. She leaned against me.

I smiled knowing that she was getting comfortable with me. My wolf sighed and delt with the little bit that I had allowed.

I could hear noises in the dining room. I guessed that they are setting the table. I could smell that mother had made her famous T-bone steak. I could smell the sides as well. It all smelled delicious and almost had my mouth watering.

After a moment Mother called us to dinner. Claire sat with me on one side of the table. Mother sat at the head and Lisa sat across from Claire and me. As we ate my sister and mother asked Claire every question in the book and Claire answered.

I learned that Claire had come from New York State. I learned that something happened to her human family and didn't want to discuss it at dinner. She also had a bad past.

After dinner we went back to the main house. Lisa was having a friend over and I felt it was better to take Claire home. I sniffed the air when we got there. Jessie was gone and Jason was off on a business trip.

Claire suggested we watch a movie so I set one up. We settled down and watched a drama movie. When the mother died of cancer Claire started to cry.

I stopped the movie and hugged her. She started saying things in between sobs. "My family is all dead... My brother died a long time ago... And it tore my family apart... I had a dream and my family... Was killed by two black wolves."

As she cried into my shoulder, I held her. "I've been the crutch for my family... When I changed they fell apart... And they died because of me... The Beta of the Blood pack and his partner... They killed my family... They threatened me and followed me... So many wolves have attacked me and tried to kill me... That Blood Alpha marked me and it turned into this moon mark... I'm so scared and alone."

She continued to sob. I trusted to comfort her by telling her that I'm here for her and that she has this pack as a family now.

My wolf growled then. A knock at the door came down the hall. My wolf smelled danger.
