~*Jay POV*~

I got up and told Claire to stay put. She nodded and hugged a pillow. I told my wolf to be ready as slowly opened the door.

A man stood there. "Hello, I'm looking for a young lady with a bite and blood mark. She belongs to the Blood pack and has gone missing a few days ago. My Alpha demands for her to return."

I look at the living room where I can hear Claire's heart speed up. My wolf reminds me, 'She spoke of a Blood mark. Their Alpha had attacked OUR mate and tried to claim her for himself!'

As he growled in my head, he fought for control. He was too strong for me to fight back. I shifted ripping my clothes to shreds.

I watched as my wolf attacked the man. He shifted to a small brown wolf. I grabbed the wolf around the neck and bite down hard, fracturing his spine.

I'm about to snap him in half when a large wolf tackles me. This large wolf pins me, 'Jay behave yourself.' My wolf growls at Jason. But he's much larger and I'm unable to escape.

Jason gets off me and growls at the intruder. The mutt quickly leaves with his tail in between his legs.

Jason looks at me. 'What has caused you to act like this? I know he was trespassing but that is NOT a reason to kill, Jay. And what in the hell has gotten into you? Your three times larger than I last remember.'

I lower my head in respect and don't answer. His Beta powers made my Omega break down but my wolf demanded that we attack and gain respect for ourselves. I growl at myself before speaking to Jason, 'I'm not sure, I can still feel my Omega but My wolf has had a mind of his own. He is much stronger then I am and I was unable to stop him. I apologize, Beta Jason.'

Jason nodd and shifts. He opens the door and turns back into a wolf. I follow him upstairs where he shifts to human and gives me some clothes. I go to the open bathroom, shift, and get dressed.

When I come out I find Claire looking for me. She runs and hugs me. "Are you ok? That Blood member didn't hurt you did he?"

I chuckle a little before I see her face plastered with fear. "Claire, I'm fine. I cracked his spine a little before Jason stopped me and ran him off. Why does the Blood pack want you? Could it be the Legend?"

Jason came from his office and answered for Claire. "They want her because the current Alpha had marked her a week ago. And I don't know why otherwise. Charles is not a true alpha either. His ex-mate was the one with Alpha blood. Charles just happened to be the Alpha by his late Mate, Who had died from cancer a few years ago. And Charles has brought the Blood pack to the top of the power pyramid. He was probably hoping to get a new Mate by marking Claire when she was alone in the woods while in North Dakota."

Claire hugs me tighter before speaking, "Well his mark was replaced by this mark." She raised her wrist where the moon and arrow mark was visible. "I don't know what it means but I was hoping you could find out, Jason."

Jason nodded. "Yea the mark is why I left the other day. I found some information on the mark. I started with the Orange tip of the arrow." We followed Jason as he lead us to his office. We took seats while he dug through a few papers. He pulled out a paper and a book.

"Orange symbolizes many things from emotional support to a positive out look. I figured since you have a rough past the emotional support is the use here. The shape of the arrow tip suggests that the arrow is stuck in the moon and therefore suggests that the support will not leave your side. The tail end of the arrow is green in color."

Jason moved through the papers again for a moment. "Green means balance in this case. Green is a positive color and is equilibrium. The end of the arrow being green means that the arrow is balanced and will be support for when you need it. It should keep your head clear and your heart and mind linked. The shape suggests that the help from this part of the mark will be smooth and easy to understand."

Jason sighs and opens the book. "The blue of the moon suggests that, as we already know, you don't cope with change as well as other but you try to be calm and think out the possibilities. The way the moon is drawn shows that you have had a confusing past and that it may continue to be troublesome and confusing. The moon it self symbolizes new starts and intuition. Which is a 'gut' feeling. So if you feel that you need to do something then do it."

The entire time that Jason spoke Claire would trace the lines of the mark. He face had awe written all over. But when Jason finished speaking, Claire looked up. "Does that include my wolf?"

Jason nodded. "Yes the powers will be stronger for her cause of the Lycan blood. But the powers are shared between you."

Claire looked like she wanted to ask more but before she could her eyes suddenly turned gold. She seemed to have zoned out and at the same time a howl came from outside the house.

My wolf instantly took over making me shift in the chair. I jump off and see the damage. The cushion was torn and my clothes were in shreds again. Claire suddenly spoke but her eyes where still gold. "Intruders have entered the barrier. They mean to cause death and pain."

Jason stared at Claire. She sat their starting in to space for a moment before her eyes return to normal. She looked at me in confusion. 'I'll be right back Claire.'

I looked at Jason. 'I'll handle this. You take care of Claire for me. My wolf needs this for some strange reason.'

Jason nodds and signals me to go.

I'm leaving the house when I hear a crash from upstairs. Still in wolf form, I run up stairs to find Jason trying to pick Claire off the floor. 'What the hell happened?'

Jason looked up. "She said she was tired and got up to go to bed and fainted. You take care of the intruders I've got her. I'm too old to shift again today so its up to you to take care of those intruders, Jayden."

I sigh, walk over to Claire, and touch my nose to her cheek. I watched her for a moment before turning and leaving.

As I left the house a few wolves came up to me asking about Jason. I growled to get their attention. 'Jason shifted earlier today and can't shift again. He told me to be in charge to deal with this in his place.'

A few wolves tried to argue but I growled and they automatically bowed their heads. Strange.

A howl came from the north side of the border. The howl was sad and mournful. I began to run toward the cry.

After a minute, I arrive followed by most of the fighters in the pack. The ground is covered in blood and bodies. A female wolf lays on top of one and she howls in pain for her mate.

I turn toward a tracker in the followers. 'We need to get to the intruders NOW! Sniff them out and lead us to them.' The old wolf nodds and starts sniffing the perimeter of the scene. One of the younger wolves is try to console the female.

I snap at him when he tries to get help from the others. 'She is mourning. Leave her be. When she is ready she will leave or someone from her family will come.'

The pup yelped and mumbled, 'Yes sir.'

My wolf growled gleefully at getting the respect but I didn't understand how so many are listening to a Omega. The tracker came to me then, 'Sir, the intruders are staying along the border headed east.'

I start to run in that direction and everyone follows. There are about 10 to 20 wolves in the group. As we get closer to the intruders the sounds of a fight fills the air.
