Ember spoke:

"My father became an unwanted force in my young mother's life after a short lived session of him courting her. He forced himself upon her and accidently conceived me. A few short months later, she passed away, but I prematurely, somehow by a miracle survived. A random relative who I found out was my grandmother; my mother's mother had taken me in. I grew up, went to school and in my spare time studied the histories of my large family. A family I had just come to know. Snooping around got me into trouble and I had needed to be "made". Being human and knowing my family's secrets, wasn't safe for me. Knowing that others, extended blood members, would not be happy with a human knowing the truth, relative or not.

To keep me safe, my grandmother obliged and "made" me herself, and ever since then I've been inseparable from the night and my coven. I was twenty five years old then, it's been eighteen years since then. Ultimately I accepted my past, but some nights I still thought about my mother... and the bastard that had helped her to create me.Through a random photo of my mother and father, I could see the similarity in my fathers red hair and emerald eye color with my own red hair and green eyes. I could see a resemblance between my mother and me as well, obtaining the same olive skin and facial bone structure. I became almost content with my mother's death, but as for my father, thoughts about him danced in my mind at the most random times. I would ask myself where was he? What was he doing with his life? Has he hurt more women than just my mother? Did he ever really care for my mother? All the while I asked myself those questions, I never considered this.

Visions of a young girl started coming to me, in the most random moments. The girl looked to be no more than eighteen with beautiful auburn red hair and green eyes.  Through the visions, I learned that she was referred to as Moon. During visions I would watch her go through out her days. She was in school preparing to be a writer and artist. She was adventurous, a lone wanderer, always dreaming to escape her reality.  Moments into yet another random vision, I could see Moon crying, upset and shouting at a long legged man who was dressed in a grey suit, a pair of large eyeglasses, and black alligator shoes. He also had a light shade of red hair that was combed back. The man was rather familiar looking to me. I could feel it in my bones that he was the man that would have been dubbed as my father. She had stormed away and went into her bedroom and cried while the man grabbed a large open bottle of scotch and continued drinking. A few moments after he lit a cigarette and let the ashes simply drop.

In his drunken state he fell into a hard sleep and dropped the cigarette in doing so. Shortly, the fallen cigarette and ashes connected with the curtain and a fire sprouted. The man still asleep and Moon in her room, the fire went unnoticed. Moon's attention diverted from the blasting music coming from her headphones and the picture of a large brightly colored leaf tree to the scent of smoke that started to arrive into her room from under the door. Moon groaned and took off her head phones. "Seriously dad, what have you done now?!" she asked clearly annoyed. Moon opened her bedroom door and was immediately greeted by a mass of hot flames and smoke.  Putting her sleeved hand over her mouth and nose, she strategically moved from her room and became trapped in a hallway of burning flames."

"And then you came to me...changed me." I spoke out to my sister Ember, completing her story. "Saved you. I couldn't let you perish without knowing me, or in the way it was going to happen. We are blood and you deserve wonders Moon." Ember said. "Thank you, for everything that you have done for me," I smiled. "What are sisters for?" she replied.

"Wow...warms my blood seeing you both together." A strong voice said from behind Ember and I. I turned around and Marlowe came into view. A member of our great family. I jumped off the terrace and quickly walked up to him with wide eyes. "Is Julian here?" I asked searching for the one creature that intrigued me greatly. "Beautiful to see you as well Moon," Marlowe smiled. I stepped back. "I'm sorry, lost my manners for a moment." I admitted.  "Quite alright my human like child... I suppose Julian has had a rather large effect on you."  I looked down from embarrassment. "Marlowe, wonderful to see you, what's it been almost a year?" Ember smiled before hugging Marlowe. Marlowe chuckled. "Doesn't feel like it." Marlowe noticed me looking around and turned to me. "He is here around here lurking in true Julian fashion." I looked to my right and saw nothing in the darkness. I looked to my left and saw a pair of glowing gold eyes carefully studying me. "It seems you've spotted him." Marlowe grinned. "Seems so." I replied. "We will leave you two. However, remember what is expected of you Moon." Ember smirked. I nodded my head once and watched she and Marlowe walked away and soon blended in with the night.
