I woke up to darkness as I usually do however a light tapping on my coffin is what actually woke me up, disturbing my dreamless sleep. I pushed open my coffin and blinked my eyes a few times before stretching and yawning. Virgo was standing there in front of me with a smirk on her face. "You sleep like the dead." She joked. "I am dead," I laughed. "Well sort of..." I mumbled. "So what have you stumbled across and have to desperately tell me, clearly you woke me up for something." I yawned. "Well I wanted to be the first to inform you that the elders are here." My eyes widened.

"Seriously? Already?" I asked Virgo in disbelief. I knew the elders were coming but I did not think they'd come so early...well 7pm is early to vampires... the sun starts setting around 6:30/7:00 their early arrival meant they traveled during the day. They are quite strong...Only elders and ancients are able to walk in the light.

I groaned. "That means within a day's time I am to be married to kalen." I whispered to myself. "Kalen...who by the way is looking for you." Virgo shrugged as I looked at her with annoyed eyes. "You have to try on your wedding attire and go through the entire ceremony for tomorrow. The elders will be giving the both of you a special party tonight as a gift for your pairing." Virgo said seriously. "More like a gift for the start of my torture." Virgo sighed. "Kalen is not that bad....kind of..." Virgo tried to reason. "Neither is a serial killer." I said sarcastically.

Virgo was just about to reply to my comment before a knock on the door stopped her. I sniffed and groaned. "Come in." I said firmly, and stepped out of my coffin. Kalen walked in, head straight and chest puffed out a little. Confidence radiated from him and as he beamed at me I could see a masked coldness that could make even an elder shiver. "You are just waking up my love?" He asked as he closed my bedroom door. I rolled my eyes at yet another nickname for me. "Yes kalen, Virgo here disturbed my sleep to tell me the elders are here." Kalen smiled. "Yes, and that tells me that you are much closer to being mine forever." He said walking steadily to me. Kalen wrapped me tightly in his arms, almost too tightly. He looked into my eyes and before he could seduce me with them I turned my head to the right. Kalen turned his head as well and his eyes fixed on Virgo. "Virgo...leave now." he demanded. Virgo stood her ground wanting to be asked more politely. Kalen let go of me and hissed at Virgo, his eyes turned a darker shade and I watched his chest rise and fall deeply. "Do as you are told Virgo, do not make me tell you again." He breathed out.

"Or what?" I asked moving to stand beside the only other female vampire that I am close with besides my own sister. "You will do not a thing to her kalen." I spoke with authority. "Are you trying to rile me up love? Would you like for me to take action against her for disobeying me?" he asked with a small hint of amusement in his eyes. "You are not a God kalen or any leader of any coven so please retract your overly confident thoughts and behavior." Virgo said annoyed. In a blur kalen launched himself at Virgo. Grabbing her by the neck and squeezing tightly. "Let go kalen! Release her!" I yelled at him, but he kept squeezing, almost breaking Virgo's neck, and if that happened...that would be the end of her.

I ran over to the both of them and grabbed kalen's arm. My strength overpowering his enough to make him let go of Virgo's neck. She dropped to the floor and then ran out of the room, closing the door behind her. Kalen fixed his attention on me. "Kalen..." I whispered and put my arms out in surrender and shook my head at him in disappointment.

I am a powerful vampire but kalen is a warrior, trained to succeed in any fight he gets into. Kalen grabbed me by the neck and then pushed me, making me fall onto my bed. Kalen then climbed on top of me trapping me with his arms. "Kalen...don't," I basically begged. Kalen's eyes turned black and I knew his less ferocious side was gone. Kalen unzipped his pants and took his belt off. I put my arms against his chest trying to push him off. He lifted my nightgown up a bit and I squirmed even more. Kalen grabbed my chin roughly and made me face him. "Stop moving!" He growled out. "Then don't do this..." I cried out. "I promise you'll love it." He replied and with that, he turned my head to the right and licked my neck before he bit me and entered me at the same time. Leaving me to feel the most hurt and vulnerable I've ever felt in my life.

After a while kalen rolled over breathing heavy, I stayed in place for a minute before falling off the bed and crawling into a ball. "Moon?" I heard kalen call out softly. I ignored him and hugged my knees to my chest. "Moon," he called out again. He got off the bed and walked over to me. "I'm sorry love, I couldn't control it I was angry. I am so sorry." He said as he tried to reach out. "Don't touch me," I whispered. "My love you have to understand, I didn't mean to hurt you." I could feel myself wanting to cry. "Get out!!" I yelled, standing to my feet. My eyes were burning from anger and sadness. I stood up and slapped Kalen across the face, "you think I'm going to sit here and accept your apologies and continue on with this soon to be torturous marriage....I think not...get out of my room." I said with anger and force. Kalen walked towards my door and stood there for a second. "Too bad that decision isn't up to you." He replied.

I picked up a black vase of black roses and threw it at him, upset that I missed cracking his skull. I sank to the floor and finally cried. I cried for an hour before getting up and getting dressed for the night. I looked into the mirror and wiped any stray tears that may have fallen. I couldn't let anyone see me cry. Vampires aren't supposed to cry. We are supposed to be hollow. We aren't supposed to feel....and at this point I wish I had no humanity left because I felt everything. In this moment I would give anything to feel vampire cold.
