I walked down the longest, darkest hallway in the mansion. I stood in front of kalen's door ready to knock before I heard his deep voice. "Come in Moon." I took a deep breath before opening the door.
His room looked like an ancient kings. Gold and cream paint filled the entire room. Gold bed post, gold and cream chairs. The walls were gold; he had gold dressers and cream curtains. Way different from my purple and black scheme.
He's like an ancient royal and I'm...well honestly a curious and modern vampire girl. Sounds good in a story but in real life, a pair as that does not mix. "I could sense you coming. You are the only one that I know of to smell like orchids and vanilla." I crossed my arms across my chest and stared at the floor. I heard his footsteps walking my way. I slowly looked up to his smirking face.
Kalen wasn't unattractive, quite the very opposite actually. His hair being short and spiked. His eyes a beautiful hazel that changed depending on his mood. His lips were thin and bubblegum pink. Kalen also had very strong and shapely jawline to match the cuts his muscles made in his strong upper body. Kalen was definitely attractive and I wouldn't mind marrying him, if he didn't have a disgusting mindset.
"You never have to knock on my door my pet," he said while caressing my jawline. "Pet? Do I look like a parakeet to you?" I asked after rolling my eyes. "No, you look beautiful." He whispered. Cheesy much, I thought to myself.
"So what brings you in here to me my darling?" I huffed, enough with the pet names... "I heard you were upset about my outing with Julian." He smirked. "And you came to comfort me?" He asked. "No...I wanted to get your opinion on the situation." I said only hesitating for a second. "My opinion on the fact that you are acting uncivilized, undomesticated. Not putting your future mate before stragglers." He said confidently I was furious...how dare he speak those words about Julian and I?!
Kalen always managed to get negative reactions out of me, even when he wasn't trying to. He could say hello to me and I would want to claw his eyes out. "Uncivilized?! Undomesticated?! You are the last vampire alive that should use the word uncivilized unless it is to define oneself! And Julian is a wanderer, a traveler...more than I can say for you, you only leave to hunt or if the coven leaves, better to not judge a cultured vampire than one that's remaining a prisoner in the shadows." Kalen sneered. "Sneer at me, it won't change the fact that you're a wet mop and I can't believe I have to be tied down to someone as you."
Kalen growled and pulled me close clutching me to his hard chest. He put his head in my shoulder and breathed deeply. I froze, I wanted to push him away from me as hard as I could, possibly breaking him in the process so I wouldn't have to marry him, but his quickness and strength took me by surprise.
Kalen held my hair to one side as he began to kiss my neck, tilting it to reach for more. He pulled back and looked me straight in the eyes, "what are you..." I started before he ended up kissing me hard. My arms flew out flailing against him but stopped once he pulled me tighter making me gasp from the hard impact and his tongue to slide in my mouth.
Kalen bent me over to the bed hovering above me so I was unable to move. I mistakenly let out a small moan as he pressed his pelvis to mine, making me feel unfamiliar parts of him. I had never been with anyone before; the feeling was foreign to me. Kalen looked down at me and I noticed his eyes were completely dark. He was gone, drowning in lust.
He's fangs elongated and I gasped. "Kalen!" I called out seriously. "Do not drink or mark me!" I gathered all my strength and pushed him away, making him crash into the wall.
I quickly sat up as he quickly recovered and raced back over to me. I threw my hand back and slapped him across the face, "snap out of it!" He grabbed me and held me in his arms again..."I cannot wait till your mine. The covens arrive in two weeks' time, and then you will be mine." He whispered. "The covens?" I asked. He looked down at me and nodded.
Ember asked neighboring covens over for our celebration, including the coven of elders. You did not know?" I nodded my head no. Now I was beyond frustrated...
Ember made all these decisions without me. "I'm tired, the sun will begin to rise very shortly, we should sleep." I said sadly. "Very well darling," kalen whispered before kissing me by my ear. I pulled away and started walking towards the door when he called out.
"I hope you do realize one of us has to change, and in this case it will not be I Moon." I stopped in my tracks and let what he said sink in.
I would have to change...for him, and there was no way out of it, especially not if other covens would arrive here to see kalen and I become "one" I wouldn't be able to be myself anymore...and I would have to remain that way until I or kalen were to be killed or peacefully perished.
I started walking again and silently walked straight to my room. Slipping my clothes off and putting on a deep red and black silk teddy. I looked between my purple covered bed and my black coffin, I choose the ladder, at this point I wanted to be locked inside my coffin forever, I wanted to be completely alone. Tuning everything out that remained outside of it.
