Motherly Care

Mum and Dad. Dad and Mum. Parents. These people are very important in everyone's life. They guide you through life, they help you in every situation, they take care of you. Park Searoyi didn't have the privilege to enjoy both of his parents' company for long.

His mother died early in his life. He missed him a lot. Even though he had his father, who tried very hard to fill in the missing mother, but sometimes it was impossible. The true love of a mother can never be replaced. By anyone.

Saeroyi didn't want to complain though. He had a great life with his father: He worked hard for them, raised his son to be a good man and he took care of them until his last breath. But after that, Park Saeroyi was left alone. No one cared for him truly, no one helped him through the hard times in prison and even after that. And most importantly, there was no mother who would hug him or pet his hair. His mother was not there.

Therefore meeting his girlfriend's mother after their little kidnapping accident was a big deal. And not just because he didn't want to screw up with Yi-Seo's mother, but because he hadn't seen a mother for so long.

Perhaps because of his own mother, but he was always careful with other's mom. In fact, he tried to avoid them. He wasn't sure how to talk to them, how to look at them and mainly he always felt a lot of self-pity, which he clearly couldn't handle.

But meeting his future mother-in-law didn't go the way he expected it. She was kind, although her daughter was kidnapped and beaten up because of him.

Long story short after the surprisingly smooth meeting Saeroyi felt confident. And this conference got just strong after what had happened a week later as he had left the hospital.

He and his girlfriend (such a great feeling to say that!) were both working in their offices. It had been two hours since they were working, looking every five minutes at each other, checking if the other one is still okay. Suddenly their eye contact was interrupted by a woman in the hallway. The woman was obviously looking for someone, she was wearing a brown coat, her hair wasn't bound together instead, it fell on her shoulders freely. The woman was caring her purse and a heavy big bag clearly full of something. Saeroyi had a guess who that woman was but she was not sure until he heard his girlfriend shout:

„Mom! What the hell are you doing here?" And Yi-Seo was already out of her office in the hallway next to her mother. Quickly Saeroyi jumped up as well, after all, it was his company's building and his girlfriend was shouting in the middle of the hall with her mother.

„Yi-Seo! Saeroyi! Finally, I found you, this building is huge! The lady in front of the entry tried to explain where your offices were, but I got lost a few times. But finally..."
„Omma! What are you doing here? You know I work here right? You can't just come here, I am the CFO here!"
„Oh, honey don't worry I didn't come to see you! I wanted to bring some food for Saeroyi! He must be still tired and it is amazing how he still works, even though he should be resting at home!"

Both Saeroyi and Yi-Seo were left in shock. Yi-Seo because her mother just ditched her for her boyfriend. She, her only daughter!
Saeroyi was stocked too. It was long ago since someone had cared about his health and since someone cooked for him.

Yi-Seo's mother must have noticed the effect she had caused because she just put the bag in Saeroyi's hand, stroked his upper arm, kissed her daughter's cheeks and left them standing there.

"Thank you, mother!" Saeroyi yelled after her when he woke up from the trauma. He looked at his girlfriend and he didn't know what to say. He was overwhelmed.

"Apparently" Yi-Seo looked at Saeroyi. Her voice was a little huffish."My mother likes you. A lot. Well enjoy your food then, I'll be in my office."

The girl already turned away, took a step in her office's direction when Searoyi grabbed her hand.
"You want to eat with me? I am sure it will be enough for both of us." His smile was bright. He looked cute and irresistible. How could Yi-Seo say no to that offer?
