Chapter 2 Deadly Life part 7: Post-Execution

Another gone.

How many more times do we have to go through this again? How much hell do we have to go through?!

"Hoohoo~ that brings down a shiver down my spine. Well if I had a spine," Monkomi said, happily.

Everyone stayed quiet.

How can we say anything if one of us just died?

"I think...that we should go now," Toshino said in a low voice.

"Yeah...we should," Robin muttered.

We all entered the elevator in silence. Well not counting Hirohito's sobbing. I stared at the edge.

Why did it have to be them? Why? We could have help Minami out more, could have have Uyeda open up to us about his illness so we could have figured something out. There's so much we could have done... but it's too late. It's already over.

Once the elevator opened, Hirohito ran off to the direction of the labs.

"Guess he needs time to grief. Him and Uyeda were pretty close," Robin muttered.

"We all do. We all need time," Sora said.

All of us separated...except for Ichigo and I.

"Umm Kuro, how are you feeling?" Ichigo asked.

This surprised me because I was used to hearing her call me "Tami~chan." What's with this sudden change?

"I'm...I'm not doing well. I...feel like it was my fault that Minami and Uyeda died. If only I could have done more," I explained.

"It's not your fault. They were just in a bad place. Nobody expected us to be perfect and to not crack under pressure. What happen, happened. But we have to move on, for their sake. If we're sad then they are also sad in heaven. You're a good person Kuro, I'm grateful to you for being a huge help in the trials," Ichigo said, giving me a sad smile.

I stood there in shock.

Ichigo...

"Now go and rest up. Don't beat yourself up ok?" Ichigo skipped away.

...

She's right. I have to move on for their sake. I will stop the killing game. Nobody else will die! I will stop the mastermind!

(Mastermind's PoV)

Hoohoo, Kuro is getting pretty fired up. It makes me soooo excited. It truly is Hope V.S. Despair. Just like how Enoshima-Sama said it would.

Of course my little traitor is getting all buddy buddy with him (many people are going to at this point) so that might be a problem.

Oh well, if any of them make a move that would ruin the plan, I'll just have to eliminate them.

"The party is just beginning~."
