Chapter 3 Daily Life part 1

Ding Dong!

"Hoohoo~ wake up everybody. It's time for breakfast. Chop chop," Monkomi said from a screen.

I opened my eyes and just lay there. It's been a day since the trial. One day where nothing happened and Monkomi left us alone. One day. One...day...?

What was he planning during that time? No.

What was the mastermind planning?

Whatever it was, I didn't like it. I never trusted my gut since it usually gets me in trouble and is always wrong but...nowadays even my gut feeling is telling me that I shouldn't just laze around during these "days off." I need to do something productive in stopping this game.

I got up and changed into my regular uniform. I left my dorm to meet the others up at breakfast.

Sure enough, they were all there.

It shocked me that how quickly our numbers were decreasing. We came here as 16 and now we're 12. We'll keep decreasing if we don't put an end to this. (I swear if I make a miscalculation >:(

"Oh Kuro you're here," Toshiaki said, turning his head towards me.

I blinked and sat down in one of the chairs next to Amy. We kept swapping seating places but I couldn't help glancing over to the empty spots where our classmates once sat. It saddens me.

"So we are all here. We might want to discuss what to do now," Sora said. Robin cleared his throat and lowered his voice.

"Maybe not here since...you know the cameras," he explained.

"So wait you're saying that the mastermind is listening in on our conversation?" Jun asked.

"And you're only telling us now?" Amy asked, angrily.

Robin rolled his eyes at this. "You would make the connection if you even bothered to check the cameras," he explained.

Amy folded her arms at this.

"But what should we do?" Yuki asked.

"Hoohoo~! What should you do, you ask? I'll tell you what you should do! Head over to the gym for a special announcement!" Monkomi said from the speakers, making some of us jump.

"How did he?" Yuki asked.

"I told you, the mastermind might be listening in on us," Robin replied.

Great, now finding a room that doesn't have any cameras or speakers is a must. If only it was that simple, I thought.

We all went to the gym to see what 'fun' announcement did Monkomi had planned.

Monkomi was sitting on the stage by a microphone, waiting for us.

"Finally! I was growing cobwebs while waiting for you," he exclaimed. Some of us groaned at this.

"What do you want now?" Toshino asked, folding his arms.

"Since all of you have been dropping like flies, I thought I would give you all a gift. The rest of the first floor is yours to explore!" Monkomi explained, throwing his stubby arms in the air in celebration.

...

"Huh?"

"Geez you should at least show a little bit of emotion that doesn't say 'Huh?' I spend all the time unlocking the rest of the first floor for you all and this is the thanks I get?" Monkomi folded his arms, unhappily.
