"Ashoka! Come here!" Sabine shouted. Ahsoka ran to her friends side.
"A Star Destroyer? What is a crashed Star Destroyer doing here? What—"
"Exactly! A crashed Star Destroyer! I bet we could find something about Ezra here!" Sabine exclaimed. Ahsoka looked at the Mandalorian woman and smiled.
"Come on then. Let's go."
The Star Destroyer was—well—destroyed.
There was no one on the bridge or the ship, just some dead, shriveled bodies.
"I hate it when I see things like this," Sabine said. Ahsoka looked at her.
"Says the Mandalorian rebel/ ex-bounty hunter!" The Jedi teased.
"I never killed when I was a bounty hunter! No wait....actually......I did...."
Ahsoka laughed. Sabine glanced at the Togruta woman with a sly facial expression. Then Sabine's eyes lit up. "What if....what if Ezra left something here that could help us find him—"
"Sabine! I hope that this is the ship he was on, but we mustn't get to far ahead of ourselves! For all we know....." As Ahsoka went on and on about that, Sabine ignored her. Instead, she looked around and find out what this ships name was. Her eye caught something that made her peer closer. There was a random memory chip on the control panel on the front of the ship's bridge.
She reached out and picked it up. She didn't want to and wanted to turn it on at the same time. What if it proved that Ezra was dead? But no!! It could have his whereabouts..... As her thoughts argued, she turned on the memory chip.
"Sabine, if you are watching this, you are on the right track. I took Thrawn, put him on an escape pod, I also got on one myself, put this ship on autopilot to crash on a nearby planet, and went to the unknown. I have put a tracking device on me, and only you can turn it on. You don't need to know the code, because it's the code only you and I know. I'm waiting, Sabine. May the Force be with you."
And that was it.
"Sabine, where did you find that?" Ahsoka asked.
"Here. And now I know how to find him! C'mon! Let's go tell my family!"
When Sabine told the Wrens what she had found, they were surprisingly excited. Ahsoka flew the ship into space, Alrich and Tristan had fixed the ship, and Sabine turned on the tracking device.
Hang on Ezra. I'm coming. She thought.
Meanwhile....
"She has figured it out! Now all I can do is wait," Ezra exclaimed. He looked at the horizon, knowing that that shooting star could be her. He spent the next hour
Waiting.....
Watching.....
Knowing.....
