A few weeks passed.

Raja used that time as wisely as he could, living a double-life. In the morning, he would be the perfect servant, taking care of the king's pets and of the queen's needs. Yet at night, he would wander in the streets, meeting people that claimed they were his family. Because yes, a few Romanian citizens were hiding in Chad for years now and King Hassan had no idea about it.

They were planning something big: the taking of the entire kingdom. The Sudanese neighbors worked closely with them to ensure that once Chad would belong to Raja, they'd have better partnerships and deals. Apparently, that plan had been on their mind for a good while already, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to get their hands on Raja and that had finally happened.

The boy was going to be a king.

He still hadn't completely grasped the meaning behind it. He still couldn't believe that he had royal blood rushing through his veins. And to believe he was treated like dirt in this kingdom that actually belonged to him. That fact only fueled his anger and his need for revenge against the Chadians. Even though he never dreamt of being a king before, he now desired that kind of power, just to be able to punish every person who ever looked down on him.

And he was so close to reaching that goal. With the help of his Romanian brothers and the Sudanese soldiers, he knew he could easily take over the capital city.

That night, he went to the small house in the south of the city where his Romanian brothers hid. They had written down a detailed plan on how they would create chaos in the city and bring soldiers to the door of the palace.

"That's where we need you, Raja." One of them said, pointing to the young servant. "You're the only one among us who could get the soldiers inside. I suggest you do it the night before our attack when there will be less monitoring."

Raja nodded once, looking confused and distracted. The older men surrounding him noticed it. One of them dropped a hand on his shoulder, squeezing.

"Are you alright?"

Raja sighed. He didn't know how to explain what was going on in his mind without upsetting them. Yet, seeing how everyone was staring at him, he decided to speak nonetheless:

"W-what will happen to the king and the queen after we imprison them...?"

The one sitting next to him frowned before replying:

"They will be executed, of course."

"Executed?"

"What, do you feel bad for them? Should we remind you that it's exactly what they did to your parents? Your father and mother had their heads chopped by matchets, Raja."

The boy's skin crawled.

"B-but...What if King Hassan had no idea about it? I am sure that the queen is definitely not involved and she would never tolerate such a crime anyway. I mean, she's so kind. And king Hassan is somehow kind too and-"
