Raja's plan got even easier to execute when the king announced that literally everyone was allowed to come to the palace to celebrate the queen's pregnancy. It meant that even the commoners of Chad would be allowed inside, which never happened before. Though there would be guards at every entrance of the palace, they'd never be able to check and keep an eye on every single person that was going to show up.

His Roumanian brothers were very satisfied with the circumstances. They mocked King Hassan for being ridiculously foolish. But Raja somehow understood the king. If he'd been in his position, he too would not have guessed that one of his servants was planning a rebellion with the help of Roumanian and Sudanese soldiers. Not in a million years.

A few days earlier, the boy met with said Sudanese soldiers. He was in charge of sneaking them into the palace. There were about twenty of them, very skilled and especially murderous. They were expected to attack at the most appropriate time, kill as many guards as possible within the palace and capture the king and queen. At the same time, other Sudanese and Roumanian men would be taking over the rest of the capital city. It wouldn't take more than a few hours to take over.

By Sunday morning, Raja would be the new king in the capital city and by extension, in the whole kingdom.

That's all he could think about during the rest of the week. When Saturday arrived, everyone noticed how joyous he was, helping with the party's preparation and trying to make friendly conversations with the other servants, though none of them was willing to laugh at his jokes.

He still hadn't figure out what he was going to do with king Hassan, though. He hated him but still didn't want him dead. Maybe because he was his cousin? Raja didn't want to kill one of his family members. But keeping the king alive would be a risk as well...

"What could you possibly be thinking about?"

Birni appeared at the door of the wide kitchen, looking suspiciously at Raja. The boy chose to ignore her. He had a mental list of all the people he was going to torture once he would become king and Birni was among the top 10.

She obviously wasn't aware of that because she came closer and poked Raja's shoulder in a way that irritated him greatly.

"Stop." He said between gritted teeth, holding her wrist firmly. "What's your problem with me, why can't you just leave me alone?"

"Because I don't trust you, that's why. What were you thinking about just now? Setting the palace on fire?"

"More like setting you on fire!"

She scoffed and stood on her toes to look directly into his eyes.

"Whatever you think of doing, it's not gonna work, alright? You are probably unaware of it but you're no more than a simple servant Raja. You are nothing."
