Chapter Thirteen

I have something to say.....Mikey and Donnie have always been difficult for me to write about because I don't relate with them. I relate with Leo and Raph because, like Leo, I'm the oldest and I know the pressure that he's under, trying to be the best role model for his younger siblings, and like Raph, I feel like the outcast and I have anger issues as well, he was a comfort character of mine as I've stated before. I know it's not fair and they will be in the story obviously but I just wanted to get that out there and let y'all know.

Sorry for babbling!

Enjoy!

Leo walked through the front door of his apartment and sighed. He shouted his girlfriends name and got no response in return. He locked the door behind him and walked to their bedroom. He threw his keys on his nightstand, then flopped onto his bed. Grabbing the remote he turned his TV on when his phone buzzed. He picked it up and saw a FaceTime call from his immediate younger brother. He answered the phone and saw his brother sitting on his couch with little Sloane on his lap.

"Say hi Uncle Leo." Raph whispered as he picked his little girls hand up and moved it from side to side. Leo chuckled at his niece and brother and waved back at them.

"Hi, sweetie." Leo smiled. Raph chuckled at his brother and then looked up past the phone.

"Dinner time." Allie whispered as she reached for their daughter. Raph handed the baby to her mother and blew her a kiss before looking back at his phone and smiling at his brother.

"How's it going, brother?" Raph asked.

"You know, work, rent. Life, it's fine. What about you?"

"Ah, were working our asses off over here. We've been on the phone with record labels discussing payment, terms and contracts. I'm at my wits-end with all this shit. We got interviews tomorrow for a manager. Then being a dad, it's just a lot."

"Yea, well you decided to take the hard road. This is what you get. Just be glad you're on the road to making it. Have you gotten the chance to record yet?"

"Couple songs. Nothing's sticking though, they're worried that it's not the right 'sound' for the generation."

"The right sound?"

"I don't know." Raph smiled. "What about the whole.....ring shopping thing? How's that going?" He asked.

"It's going. It's just hard. I wanna get her a nice ring and it's hard cause I'm almost dead broke. I wouldn't have this place if it weren't for Harmony's parents helping us out. She's working full time and...."

"Leo, Leo! Relax, dude! You're freaking out over something we're all going through."

"You? You're not going through this, you get paid to sit around at a table and think of words that rhyme." Leo scoffed.

"I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that." Raphael retorted.

"I'm sorry, that was rude. And you're going through the same thing right now under different circumstances. How's the house hunting going?"

"I mean, it's hard to find a place close to the studio that's under one point two million. Vanessa and I are looking just for the two of us. And Sloane too."

"Allie and Josh aren't gonna move in with you?"

"It's kinda hard to do sexy time when you share a wall." Raph said awkwardly as he tilted his head to the side. He looked up once again and smiled as Vanessa leaned down and kissed him gently. She waved to the eldest brother in the frame before whispering something in Raphael's ear. Raph's eyes widened and he nodded his head.
