Gonna Be OK

Chapter Sixteen

"I'm Mona Lisa and this is my husband Slash, we're his parents." Mona smiled. "We noticed his BMW hasn't been in the driveway, the white one and we just wanted to make sure he's okay." She continued.

"Mona!" Slash gasped as he looked into the steel blue eyes of the younger turtle. She looked at her husband and grew concerned. "It's Dean." He said.

Mona turned to her son and gasped. "Dean?"

Leo continued to look at the older mutants confused as his niece began to fuss.

"His......his parents?" Leo stuttered.

"Dean, sweetie I......."

"Who's Dean?"

"You, you're Dean."

"No, I'm Leo."  He growled. "Look, Raph'll be home later today. Take care." Leo nodded as he shut the door and walked to his niece's bedroom.

Raph and Vanessa got home a few hours later and smiled as they walked over to their daughter. Raphael picked her up and spun her around the room. "Oh! Daddy missed you so much!" He smiled before kissing his daughters cheek.

Leo cleared his throat and looked at his immediate younger brother. "There he is! Thanks so much for coming down here to watch her!" Raph smiled as he hugged his brother.

"Yea, yea no problem. Look at you, you got some serious color."

"Yea, we had an extra day so we decided to have a pool day." Raph responded.

"So what, you laid in the sun and baked?"

"Pretty much yea." Raph chuckled. "You okay? You seem pissed."

"You wanna tell me why two people showed up at the house earlier asking for you?"

"People do that a lot. Fans and shit."

"No, they claimed to be your parents.....our parents." Leo barked.

"Why were they here?" Raph sighed.

"They've been here before?"

"A few weeks before the wedding, yea. I told them to leave me the hell alone. That I didn't wanna see them and neither did you."

"Did they ask for me? For us?"

"Yea, but I didn't tell them." Raph reasoned.

"Do they live near by?"

"I don't know, they said that they do." Raphael shrugged.

"Why wouldn't you have told me?"

"I didn't see the point. They didn't want us then, so why do they want to be in our lives now?"

"You still should've at least told me." Leo scoffed.

"I know but I didn't want it to derail your life but clearly they don't care." Raph sighed. Leo tried to be mad at his younger brother, he tried. But he knew his brother didn't say anything and kept all this pain just to protect them. Leo walked over and hugged his brother tightly.

"I get why you did it. But from now on, if you don't feel comfortable telling Mikey and Donnie, just call me. Please, you don't need that burden." Leo smiled as he pulled away from his brother. Raph nodded his head and smiled back at his brother.

"Harmony should be here soon to pick me up." Leo said as he gathered his bags.

"Why didn't she just come with you?" Raph asked.

"And why didn't you sleep in our bed like I told you to?" Vanessa growled.

"She had to work, couldn't get the time off and you two do the nasty in that bed. I'm all set."
