Hello everyone!
Before letting you start the fanfic, I just wanted to make some things clear first.
STATUS OF THIS STORY AS OF OCTOBER 9th, 2021: EDITING COMPLETED.
Total words after editing: over 150 000
— I originally wrote this fanfic in French under the name Une rencontre qu'elle n'oubliera jamais (link in the comment section) then decided to translate it to english afterward. Since english is not my first language, there can be a few mistakes. Feel free to send me a message and I'll correct them.
— This is my first fanfiction, so please bear with me!
Because of this, my style evolves a lot through the chapters despite the editing session I did. The beginning is really far from reflecting the end/what I write now.
— The beginning of the story may appear kinda rushed, but there's a reason behind it. Well, this story wasn't meant to be that long, let alone have an ending at all, so that's why the relationship between Childe and Lumine develops rather quickly.
— This fanfic is not a xreader. Lumine is the female character we embody, but she has her own personality, emotions, and past in this story. She is not you.
— [EDIT Feb 21, 2022] Definition of "Ojou-chan" : "Ojou", from the japanese, means a lady/daughter from a wealthy family. The suffix "-chan" corresponds to a person younger to the one using this nickname, and who is talking without formality, as if they were close, to the limit of discourtesy. (I don't speak japanese, so feel free to correct me if that's wrong).
— Ages of the main characters: Lumine is of legal age, i.e. > 18 years old (in fact she's a few hundred years old, but I'll let you discover this throughout the story). Childe is 21.
— Age to be legally allowed to drink alcohol: 18. This is not based on the US standards.
— Childe's family: 6 siblings (2 older brothers, 1 older sister, [Childe], 1 younger sister Tonia, 2 younger brothers Anthon and Teucer) + both parents with their name totally invented.
— CANON DIVERGENCE. The story of the game is not followed to the letter, I took the liberty to change the chronology and the events. SPOILERS ARE TO BE EXPECTED. Some parts are completely invented, and all the theories come from hints in the game, but mostly from my imagination. Nothing should be taken as the real genshin story plot if it's not already said litteraly in the game.
SPOILERS: Archons quests until Inazuma (not included) – Childe's Story quest – Events until version 1.6 – Elements of lore concerning Traveler/Childe/Teyvat/Abyss Order/Cataclysm especially.
— Regarding mature content: NO SMUT/LEMON. There are a few scenes implying sexual content, but nothing explicit. That's why I didn't add the mature content tag.
— Some chapters might have trigger warning or warning, so please be aware of that before reading the chapter.
°• Trigger warning (TW): graphic depictions of violence, injury description, heavy angst because of the subject.
°• Warning (⚠) : implied sexual content.
— When I was writing the fanfic, I noticed I was pronouncing the last "e" of Lumine (Luminé). I don't know if it's strange, but well... x) (that's why sometimes I write LUMINEEEEE. Please don't hit me for this :P).
REMINDER: The common decency rules apply even on Wattpad. Please do not insult each other, have hateful behavior, or even use terms that may offend. I will take the liberty to remove your comment if necessary.
— Each chapter with "🅴🆇🆃🆁🅰" as a title is composed of a round-table discussion with the characters of the story.
