NB: Drink alcohol in moderation (if at all, it's better) to stay healthy and not regret some of the things you would have done!
---
Once out of the apartment, Childe headed to Diluc's bar to buy five bottles of alcohol, while thinking about the eventful evening they were going to have with Lumine.
It's going to be a blast! I can't wait to see what a drunken Lumine looks like...
Once he arrived in front of the bar, he pushed the door open to enter.
"Hey, if it isn't my favorite bartender!"
"To what do I owe this second unpleasant visit, Harbinger?" immediately retorted Diluc after giving him a look as burning as his Vision.
"I would just like to buy five bottles of dandelion wine."
"Five? I see that in the Fatui, you don't hesitate to end up dead drunk," he replied while looking at him up and down.
"It's okay, it's only two and a half bottles per person," replied the Harbinger with a sly smile while weighing heavily on the last word. Without even needing to force himself, Childe exactly knew what to say to make the bartender angry. This remark had the expected effect, as Diluc almost dropped the glass in his hands as he realized what he meant by that.
"If tomorrow Lumine is dead drunk, that will be enough of a faux pas for me to kill you," he spat with a biting tone while plunging his sharp gaze into the blue orbs of the Harbinger.
"Come on, don't get on your high horse so quickly, Mister Diluc. I am only obeying the orders of the princess. She is the one who asked for a me-mo-rable night ~."
Childe was very good at making him angry, and twisted the truth slightly to make him even angrier. As a result, Diluc glared at him. The heat seemed to rise in the bar for a brief moment, but Diluc regained his composure before his Vision power kicked in, shooting flames everywhere.
"What you... do... is none of my business," he said, almost spitting the words at the face of the member of the Fatui with a look of disgust. "But if anything happens to Lumine, either mentally or physically, you will pay dearly."
"I think that's the only thing we agree on," Childe replied, abandoning his sarcastic and mocking expression to put on a serious one. "I will never do anything to her that she doesn't agree to first."
"Oh, so when you tried to kill her, she agreed?"
"As long as it is compatible with my work, of course. Which was not the case that day," Childe hissed through his teeth.
Diluc glared angrily at the Harbinger, clearly not appreciating this way of thinking.
"Tomorrow I'll check for myself if she's okay. If not, I'll kill you in the middle of the town square."
"What a hearty display of affection," Childe laughed. "I'd love to continue chatting with you, but I'm expected. Would you be so kind as to sell me these five bottles?"
"Very well, but it will be at a special rate. Five times the retail price."
"How you go!" Childe said, offended.
"If you don't pay, I will ask you to leave my tavern."
"Very well, very well, here for you!" finally gave in Childe while throwing nonchalantly on the counter a purse containing a tidy sum of moras.
"Thank you, and I look forward to not seeing you again," Diluc said curtly after putting on the counter a box containing the bottles in question.
"Displeasure shared," spat Childe while catching the box and exiting the tavern.
