Previously: Once in their apartment, Lumine wanted to stop their relationship on the ground that it would only bring them pain because of their different lifespan. She tried to push him away, thinking Childe was playing, but she finally stopped struggling. And they both ended up showing their love for each other ^^

The next morning, Lumine was awakened by the gentle warmth of the sun rays streaming into the room and the bustle of the city. When she opened her eyes, she saw two blue orbs inches from her face staring at her as she saw a smirk.

"How long have you been watching me sleep?" she murmured in a tenuous and still sleepy voice.

"Long enough to imprint in my memory the location of every strand of your hair," Childe replied, accentuating his smile as he wrapped his arms around Lumine, moving her closer to him to huddle her little and warm body against his.

She grunted slightly, kissed him quickly, then broke free of his hold and turned to get out of bed. Once seated on the edge, she stretched while feeling Childe's gaze on her bare back.

"Idiot," she said without turning around.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of this early morning insult?" he laughed softly as he stared at her.

"If you had let me go, all would have been much simpler," she sighed.

"Maybe, but it wouldn't have been fun ~."

"It's not a—"

"A game? You're rambling, my dear. And then you accuse me of not letting you go, but remind me which of us started to undress the other first...~?"

At this sentence, Lumine felt heat rise in her cheeks as her hands grabbed the mattress she was sitting on. She wasn't ashamed of what she had done, but it was more an impression of intense embarrassment that she was only feeling afterwards. Thinking back to what she had undertaken during the past evening only increased this feeling.

He's right, it wasn't him not letting me go, but rather the other way around. In the end, I didn't have the courage to cut ties...

"Idiot," she said again, turning to him this time. This night had been another milestone they had reached as a couple, and now, she had decided not to let embarrassment interfere in their relationship.

Childe didn't answer, contenting himself to watch her affectionately while raising his arms in dismay and confusion.

"Get dressed, we'll eat on the way."

"On the way where?" he asked, curious.

"You'll see when we get there."

At these words, Lumine got up, picked up her dress that had finished up lying on the floor near the bed and went to take a shower. During a long moment, Lumine let the warm water soothe her mind still boiling and calm her body still shivering when thinking back on Childe's touch on her. She would have never dared to imagine this night to provoke such euphoria inside herself, and yet, she surprised herself cracking a blissful smile when getting out of the shower.

As she was slipping her dress on, she realized that she had two glowing blue marks on her body: one on her right forearm a little below the wrist, and the other on her thigh. Quivering when remembering the circumstances surrounding these two marks, Lumine tried to tug on the end of her dress to barely hide the mark on her thigh. However, a gust of wind and she became exposed to the sight of all, and of course, they were in the City of Freedom, where wind was commonplace...
