I joked away with Kiri and Denki as we chopped vegetables.
"So did you leave Kal with Shinso?" Denki questioned as he chewed on a piece of carrot.
"Yeah, I'll go pick him up after we get back." I sat my knife down on the table.
"How long do you really think you'll be able to keep Kal in your room before the school finds out?" Kirishima asked, gathering his chopped vegetables into a bowl.
"I could grow the devil's lettuce in that room and they would never know." I chuckled.
Denki and Kiri both looked at me with a little bit of concern.
I burst out laughing. "Don't look at me like that, I was just joking. I'm just saying I'm a sneaky little shit."
Momo glared at me from the table of girls.
"What the hell did you do to her?" Sero leaned over to me.
"She was hypin up Iida and talking shit on Katsuki in the process so I left our little shopping trip and didn't go to Tenya's. I explained what happened over the phone and he totally understood and actually thanked me for not beating her ass. So she's just being a salty bitch with the rest of the girls other than Ochaco." I rolled my eyes, letting out a deep sigh.
"You sure are protective over Baku-bro." Kirishima commented.
My words caught in my throat. "I just... I know that he's a dick most of the time but he's a good person goddammit!" I slammed my hand against the table to look up and notice everyone's eyes were on me, including a certain glasses dawning boy and the red eyed firey boy I spoke of.
Katsuki scoffed, rolling his eyes before turning away.
Denki and Sero started snickering.
I exhaled angerly through the small gaps between my teeth. "Fuck this class." I moved away from the table, knocking potatoes and carrots off on to the ground. I gritted my teeth and continued walking out into the woods. I got far enough that I couldn't see the building before sitting up in a tree.
I popped my phone out of my pocket, on the screen was a message from my mom.
How's everything going? <3
I huffed and wiped the tears from my face before typing out a response.
Not awesome, this hero shit sucks sometimes.
Maybe 30 seconds later there was a response.
I'm sorry, most of that is probably because of me and your father. I'm sure they don't except you because of our past actions.
Yeah the only person who hasn't really treated me indifferent is Hawks, I miss working with him.
I really did miss training with him, he didn't treat me like everyone else. He understood me.
Hawks? The winged hero right?
Yes, he said he knew you.
Hawks did? How old is he?
22, he said he met you when he was a little kid.
Do you know his real name? I have someone in mind but I'm not sure it's him.
Yeah, who do you think it is?
I sat for a moment, waiting for a response as I watched the sun set.
I believe his name was Tamaki or Takami Keigo.
A smile crept across my lips.
Yeah, that's him. He told me to just call him Keigo
After I pressed send I started to smell something burning. I began looking around frantically, from a distance there we blue flames engulfing everything for a few miles.
"Shit." I lept up off the top of the trees and took off back towards the building, I had to let them know about the fire. It was obviously not natural and the pro heroes were probably going to have to handle whatever the issue was.
As I got to the building I heard Mr. Aizawa yelling for me.
I ran to him. "There's a fire, it's not natural."
"I know, you need to get inside. We have students out in the forest that I need to go find." He shoved me inside the building.
