I sat on the floor outside the hospital room they had the boys in. It had been almost 30 minutes since the doctor went in and I had started getting impatient at 10.
The door opened and the doctor exited with a nurse. "Don't be too harsh on any of them right now and let them rest."
I nodded before going and doing basically the exact opposite, taking my slipper off and chucking it at Tenya. "You little shit. 'I promise, I won't go after him alone my lady' my ass!"
"I'm sorry for being reckless, it was my plan to just..."
I threw my arms around him and kissed his cheek. "You can't just go and do shit like that, you're supposed to be my only friend that's calm and rational."
Tenya tangled his hand in my hair. "I-I'm sorry Roxy."
I took a deep breath. "I can't lose you, you need to think of others too. Do you think your mom deserves to have two of her sons in the hospital?"
Tenya buried his face in my shoulder. "I-I promise. I won't do anything like this again."
"Doll, everyone is fine. Calm down a little bit." Izuku smiled weakly.
"And Izuku, since when can you jump around like that. It looked like you were surging with lightning! What the hell?" I started to take off my other shoe when the door opened.
The police captain, he started explaining the usual consequences for the sort of thing. The more he talked the more annoyed I was getting, it wasn't just me though. Shoto stepped forward, determined to have his voice heard. I quickly agreed with him, which in the long run kind of made us both look like dumbasses when the captain explained that as long as we didn't openly take credit for detaining Stain nothing would happen to us.
"Well you could've led with that." Shoto blushed a bit.
"Don't beat around the bush next time." I folded my arms with a small huff.
"Ms. Lilac, could we have a word out in the hall?" The captain turned to leave.
I existed the room and closed the door behind me. "What's this about?"
"Your father, he was spotted at a train station in Tokyo this morning. We've been trying to track him since but there wasn't much until we started back tracking his movements." He pulled out his cellphone, on the screen was a photo of my father with a woman. "This was taken in a coffee shop not too far from Hawks' agency 2 days ago."
I stared at the photo, the woman had a layer of purple hair underneath the dark brown. When he swiped to the next photo my jaw dropped, it was her.
"Do you know that woman?" The captain questioned.
"That woman, she drove me to the train station last week. Why would she be with my father?" I stared at the photo.
"We've identified her as Yuri Nakamoto, your mother."
