"Hey, wait until she sits down Shoto." His sister looked annoyed.
"I'm making hers, must you scold me?" Shoto scooped up some rice and placed it in the bowl he held.
"I'm your older sister, that's what I'm here for." She smiled.
I sat down next to Shoto. "Kirishima was just checking on me, apparently he overheard our conversation in the hall during lunch."
"I'm sorry, this was supposed to just between you and I." He plated some vegatables for me before starting to plate his own.
"It's fine. It's always good to have a strong support right? Well I've got 4 of the strongest future heroes to help save me. It's kind of strange, to be honest I feel like I'm better off this way. I still have lots to find out but at least for now, I'm not suffering." I smiled softly.
"I'm glad you feel comfortable here. I was wondering, what is your father's name?" Shoto asked before taking a bite of rice.
"Brandon Lilac, he was the American hero called Rail Road. He worked mostly busting sex trafficing rings in America, Mexico, Canada, and Korea. I think he retired after a huge battle with a villain that was killing the men running the trade, now that I think about it I don't rememberever seeing him in action."
Shoto grabbed my shoulder. "We'll go and research in my room after dinner, let's eat now."
His sister smiled brightly. "Let me know if there's anything I can do to help."
Shoto and I finished our meals and had some homemade mochi for desert before returning to his room. We sat on the floor and started to look through information about my dad on his laptop. Apparently he wasn't a very well like hero, he was caught in many scandals over the years, even being referred to as a Vigilante in some articles. After lots of reading I had ended up dozing off against Shoto before eventually giving in and getting in bed to sleep around 9:30.
"When did you say your birthday was?" Shoto questioned, not looking away from the screen.
"October 13th, 2002." I yawned.
"According to this article, October 13th, 2006. That was the day Rail Road went up against the villain Ecstasy. He ended up killing her and got his hero license taken away completely." He held up the laptop, on it was a photo of a woman in a black cloak with black and purple hair.
I froze. "I... she... she looks like me."
"Yes, there are similarities in hair color and facial structure. It doesn't mean anything else we have proof..."
I cut him off, sitting up. "What were her powers?"
"Ecstasy, identity is still unknown because no body was ever found. She had the ability to control most people by just scratching her..." Shoto paused for a moment. "...thorn fingertips against them."
"I am no longer in a state of mind to receive information that's hurting me so please go to sleep." I turned over and laid down, pulling the blanket over my face.
"I'm sorry Roxanne."
"It's fine. Like I wasn't already fucked up. Let's just add more and more until she breaks." I was trying not to cry but it wasn't working out in my favor.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what I can do to help." Shoto got on to the bed next to me and gently put his hand on my shoulder. "Whenever I cried as a child, my mother would hug me but I'm really bad with these sort of..."
I sat up and wrapped my arms around him, resting my forehead on his shoulder. "This doesn't seem real. I don't want to this anymore."
"Are you giving up? If you give up on yourself you'll become a villain. You can't give on this."
