"Jess I'm pleased to tell you that you are in remission!" I jumped up and hugged my doctor.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, but you did all the work." I pulled away from him and jumped into Ryan's arms.
"Ry, I'm going to be okay."
"She's really okay, it's gone." I could hear the worry in his voice.
"Yes she is cancer free." He had tears in his eyes when he looked at me, so I leaned in pressed my lips to his.
"I love you."
"I love you too." I pecked his lips again, then he set me down.
"Do you guys have any questions?"
"Would it be safe I got pregnant?" I asked shyly.
"Well you are in remission but I don't recommend it right away. Let your body get used to everything and settle." I nodded.
"So I can have a baby?" He smiled.
"Yes, it worries me a little though. While you're pregnant the cancer can come back and be harmful to both of you."
"But you're saying I can have a baby."
"Yes."
"Thank you." I hugged him again and took Ryan's hand. As we got in the car I felt distant from him, something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" I frowned looking him over.
"Nothing." He shook his head.
"Ryan David, please tell me."
"We'll talk about it later. Let's tell your family the good news." I frowned and turned looking out the window. We pulled up to the house I quickly got out running inside.
"Mommy." I yelled and she came around the corner with her arms open. I ran into them and hugged her.
"It's gone." I smiled.
"Finally, I'm not ready to lose you." I felt another pair of arms around me, so I turned finding Ruby. I pulled away, pulling her into the hug.
"Is it over?" I nodded.
"Yea it is." We all had tears in our eyes as we hugged.
"Ryan aren't you happy?" Mom looked at him worried.
"More than anything." I pulled away from them and went over to Ryan wrapping my arms around him.
"Ry, is this about what the doctor said?"
"What did the doctor say?" Mom asked.
"Nothing."
"Jessica."
"Mom." I groaned.
"Jess you need to tell her."
"I want a baby." I sighed.
"What?" She gasped looking between us.
"I want a baby mom." I smiled.
"Your twenty years old."
"Life is short and I want to spend all the time I can with my kids."
"What if it comes back, it could kill you and the baby?"
"That's not going to happen."
"Jess you don't know that. Ryan help me here." She looked up at him for help but he kept his eyes on me.
