I walked into the living room finding Ryan rocking Ali, while he was lightly singing to her. With the lights of the Christmas tree she's not going to go to sleep. Ryan is such the perfect daddy. Ali adores her daddy just like I do.
"Come on sweetheart go to sleep. It's your first Christmas tomorrow." He cooed to her. I smiled walking over, wrapping my arms around his waist kissing the back of her head.
"She's just not tired." He sighed.
"Babe, she likes the lights."
"I can't believe tomorrow is her first Christmas."
"Me either, Ali girl your growing up so fast."
"You're always going to be daddy's little girl."
"And mommy's."
"We need to get her to bed."
"Come here baby girl." I unwrapped my arms from him pulling her into my arms curling her into my arms. Ryan turned off the lights while I took her into our room lying down with her. I kissed her forehead and cheek while I ran my fingers through her hair.
"I love you Alison Grace." She closed her eyes and I held her for a little longer before laying her down is the basinet.
"She asleep?"
"Yea, she just needed a quick cuddle with mommy and playing with her hair."
"Typical girl." I smiled, turning to curl up to him while he wrapped his arms around me.
"I love you."
"I love you too." He leaned down pressing his lips to mine kissing me softly before pulling away. I sighed and rested my head against his chest falling asleep.
We woke up to Ali screaming her head off.
"I've got her." I nodded pulling away from him as he got up to change her diaper. He took her over to her room changing her diaper while I curled more into the covers.
"I know baby girl, daddy can't feed you like that. You took all your bottles so you have to go curl up with mommy."
I heard Ryan come closer so I turned over and sat up. She was still whimpering as he brought her over and handed her to me. I latched her on and turned back to Ryan.
"She better not get sick today."
"Let's hope she doesn't, she's got a long day ahead of her."
"Sure does."
"And hope she's not too attached to you."
"She's a momma's girl aren't you Ali girl."
"Not for long, when you stop breast feeding she is all fair game."
"We'll see." I gave her forehead kisses then we got up and went in the living room sitting on the couch.
"Think next year she will be excited?"
"Not that much more than she is now." He kissed the side of my head before getting up handing me a present.
"Will you help me?"
"Sure."
Ali grabbed onto the wrapping paper and we all ripped it off. It was a picture frame of the day she was born.
"Do you like it?"
"Baby I love it, thank you." I smiled as I looked at all the pictures. There was even two with all three of us. The first one was of when I was breast feeding, but was covered and the other when I had Ryan and Ali curled up to me sleeping. He brought over another box and handed it to me.
