Chapter 9

"What are you smiling about?"

"A dream."

"Oh yea, what happened?"

"We had a little girl and a little boy. It was a family day at the beach. Our babies were gorgeous."

"Well duh look at us."

"Shut up, our girl was older."

"Does not mean the baby in your belly is a girl." I nodded.

"I know. I've had dreams where it was a boy, but it was my first one I saw more into the future, I never saw another baby."

"I can't wait for this little one to be here, so I know you both are okay."

"Ry, we're fine. You heard the doctor yesterday our baby is fine." He moved, nuzzling his face in my neck and I wrapped my arms around him.

"I know, just after everything that happened in the past. I hate not knowing what's going to happen." I sighed, kissing the top of his head.

"I'm scared too Ryan. I'm scared of losing the baby. I'm scared of getting sick again while I'm still pregnant. This is all scary, but I have you, and our family and friends that help me get through that fear. I love you Ryan, I need you to tell me when you're feeling this way."

"I have those fears, then I fear I'm going to be a bad dad."

"And I have the fear I'm going to be a bad mom sometimes. We're not going to be bad parents okay. Our baby is going to love us." He kissed my neck then rolled me on top of him. I pecked his lips and curled into him.

"I love you Jessica."

"And I love you Ryan."

"Come on wife let's get you some food."

"Sounds good husband." I smiled as he rolled over us over again making me giggle. He kissed me softly then got off me going to make us breakfast. I placed my hands on my belly and smiled.

"Your mommy and daddy love you. Everything is going to be okay." Things are hard and it's only going to get harder once the baby is born, but as long as we have all our support we will make it through.

"Babe come on." I got up, pulling on one of his hoodies then went to curl up on the couch.

"Are Ivey and Will going out with us tonight?"

"Let me text her." I pulled out my phone and texted her real quick. Ryan came over handing me a plate of pancakes making me smile.

"So what are you doing today?"

"I think I'm just going to relax for a little while, then go to moms."

"Sounds good to me."

"Are you off today?"

"Yep." I finished the pancakes then moved to curl up on his lap.

"So what do you want to do today?"

"Hmm I can think of a few things." He smiled as he leaned down kissing my neck. I moaned while he pulled up my shirt and moved me so he could kiss my belly.

"Hi baby, it's your daddy. I just want you to know how much I love you. I can't wait to finally meet you, but we still have a little while before that happens. The next step is to find out if you're a boy or girl, but that's not for a couple of weeks. Then hopefully mommy and daddy can decide on a name. Once your born me and you will have a better talk." I smiled at him, kissing his cheek.
