Part 2: Ali's stroy
"Ryan, just stop already. It's been a long enough day for your daughter, she needs to go home and rest." Tylor said to my dad as she walked over to me. I told them I was in an accident, but in reality my ex had beaten me pretty badly. Tylor was my dad's new girlfriend. It was hard as first, but I'm becoming more accepted of it. She doesn't try and replace my mom.
"Come on Ali." She helped me up and my dad came over to help support me. They took me downstairs and got me into the car with Tylor in the back with me.
"Where's Mickey?" I asked.
"She's at Ruby's." I nodded, looking out the window the whole way home. Once we got home I slowly went to my room and lay down.
"Alison." Dad groaned.
"Daddy please."
"What we're you thinking?"
"Ryan, get out now." She yelled, pulling him away before sitting at the end of the bed.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome, do you need anything?"
"Will you, um would you stay with me?" Her eyes widened, but she nodded her head coming over to sit next to me. Surprising us both I moved, resting my head against her chest while she carefully put an arm around me as she ran her fingers through my hair. I wished my mom was here more than anything, but of course she wasn't.
"It wasn't an accident was it?"
"No." She sighed, leaning down kissing my forehead.
"I'm scared."
"I know you are, it's a scary thing to go through."
"You too."
"Unfortunately. I'm so happy I got away from it all. Just remember it's never your fault."
"Why does it feel like it is?" I always felt so guilty when I was around him.
"Because that's what he wants you to feel. He wants you to feel worthless. Alison, you are not worthless or anything else he makes you feel." Tears filled my eyes and she wiped them away.
"You're going to be okay I promise. I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but it will be. You're going to find an amazing guy who will love you and will treat you the way you should be treated." I sobbed against her while I felt her crying too. After a while I fell asleep against her while she held me.
I woke up curled up against Tylor with my hand clutching hers. I groaned in pain as I pulled away from her, causing her to wake up.
"Are you in pain?" I nodded and she quickly got up to probably get something for me. Instead of her coming back in the room my dad came in.
"Daddy."
He set the tray down, handing me the pills before sitting next to me.
"I know it's been hard growing up without your mom. We haven't been that close in a long time, but I want you to be able to come to me. I'm glad you and Tylor are getting along."
"Daddy, you don't have to do this I'm okay, I promise. Tylor is great and I'm glad you found her." I smiled.
"She's not going to replace your mom, no one ever could."
"I know daddy. Please don't hurt her." He leaned down, kissing my forehead.
"I love you Ali girl, I'm so glad you're okay."
"I love you too daddy." He left the room and I took the pills before starting to eat.
"Ali." I looked over and saw my sister frowning, she knew about the beatings.
