2. i'm just like you

Kai was still tied down to the chair, rambling on and on, Aurora was digging her hands into her head, getting sick of his voice. "Oh my God just shut up" Aurora snaps cutting into his speaking. Kai smirked at her, "You love me" he says which made Aurora roll her eyes. "Just answer the damn question. How do we get out of this Twilight Zone?" Damon says getting fed up with Kai too. "I got a question for you first" Kai starts which Aurora groan and put her head in her hands.

"Why do you think we're stuck on a repeating loop of May 10th 1994, doomed to relive a solar eclipse forever and ever and ever" he adds. "How should I know?" Damon answers, Aurora rolls her eyes again, "Well I heard you tell Bonnie and Aurora this was your own hell, I'm curious why" Kai says tilting his head to the side. Aurora chuckles, if Kai thinks he'll get answers out of Damon, then he has another thing coming, Damon is as stubborn as can be.

"I've found everything you asked for. Can opener, shower drain, grinding wheel, jam, pocket knife, volume O of the encyclopaedia, a nail and a black marker" Bonnie says dumping all the junk on the table. "I still don't understand why you needed Bonnie to get all this junk" Aurora says looking at it all spread out on the table. "Can't show you with my hands tapped" Kai says shrugging his shoulders. Aurora grabs the pocket knife and cuts the tape that's bounding him to the chair. "Thank you" Kai says watching Aurora's every move. "Moving on, how's this pile of crap gonna get us out" Damon says watching Kai.

"I'll explain as soon as you tell me what you did on May 10th 1994" Kai says rubbing his wrists, Aurora laughs, "Yeah, good luck with that" she says, they all ignore her. "What difference does it make?" Damon says getting frustrated. "Put it this way: Bonnie's magic is one part of the equation. My as-yet undisclosed knowledge is the other. Which means you would be hitching a ride home for free" Kai says. Aurora turns and looks at him, confused, he didn't mention her. "What about me?"

"Yeah, why does she get a free pass" Damon says crossing his arms. Kai shrugs his shoulders, "Rory's fun, I just wanna know if you deserve a ride back" Kai says looking at Damon. Damon stands up from his spot and grabs the knife from Aurora's hand and grabs Kai and holds him up, knife to his throat, "Or I could just torture you until you say something useful" Damon threatens, Aurora hits his arm, "If you torture me, I'll get mad and then I won't want to help you. What person needs that explained, Rora?" he says gesturing his head in Aurora's direction.

"Stop calling me that" she says through gritted teeth. She grabs the knife from Damon's hand which made him let Kai go who walks away laughing. "Play nice" Aurora say pointing the knife at Damon. "Stop trying to impress the new guy" he says narrowing his eyes at her.
"Why can't you just tell him your story" Bonnie speaks up crossing her arms and glaring at Damon. "Have you met him, Bonnie?" Aurora says crossing her arms and raising her eyebrows. "I don't wanna talk about the worse thing I ever did" Damon says avoiding eye contact. "Ooh now I'm listening" Kai says grabbing a handful of jam with his fingers which made Aurora look away disgusted.

"Do we really need him" Damon says through gritted teeth as they all watched Kai work with the junk. "He's the only one who knows a way out. He's the best we got" Bonnie says sighing, "It's not like we can kill him" she mumbles, before anyone can respond Kai speaks up from the couch, "I need to be entertained while I work" he says fiddling with the junk. "Remind me not to kill him" Damon tells the girls. "Just tell him your story Damon, it'll get your mind off it" Aurora says fed up of the arguing.

"Who's side are you on?" Damon snaps, "The side where we get to go home, see the people we love and I don't have to keep reliving this day over and over again with you" Aurora snaps back narrowing her eyes at Damon. "Fine" Damon says finally giving in. Damon begins to tell his story on him and Stefan living at the house in 1994, Damon was his usual dick self, and Stefan was a bunny eating freak. He told them about him living there with Zach and his girlfriend Gail, who was pregnant.
