22. rescuing elena

After the party last night, everyone wasn't up for doing much, Aurora didn't really drink but was bored out of her mind, but all her friends had minor hangovers and didn't want to do anything that would worsen their headaches. So she was left alone, she didn't mind it though, she liked being alone sometimes, it gave her time to really think and gather her thoughts.

Her thoughts being filled with Kai. His sudden appearance at the party yesterday caught her off guard. She didn't expect to see him a party where a group of the attendees hate his guts and want to tear him to shreds. She hoped to have of spoken to him more, but it just wasn't the time or place for it.

She's kinda glad they didn't talk yesterday, cause she doesn't actually know what she would say to him. She's already hiding so much from everyone, Jo already knows the truth about Kai getting out too, she doesn't know the whole truth. Jo believes that Kai forced Aurora to help him get out, whereas there wasn't a need for it. Aurora willingly helped.

Then there's Caroline, who basically knows everything, or almost everything. But, Aurora is afraid that one day, whether it's on accident or on purpose that one of them will come clean about Aurora's dishonesty. She wants to tell them the truth before they find out themselves. Kai's back in town, and it's only a moment before something happens.

Whether that be with Jo, Liv or Luke, or even all of them. She had to come clean about what she's been hiding, so nothing is a surprise and they're all ready if something happens. Though she didn't want to sell out Kai, he was her friend, but these people were her family, and they just meant so much more to her. Besides, with the way Kai talked about his siblings in the prison world, she knew that whatever he has in store for them wouldn't be good, and she wanted them to be prepared.

Course, at the time, she didn't really make the connection that Liv and Luke and Kai were siblings, and she definitely didn't know that Jo was apart of all that too. She didn't even know Jo until recently, she only heard of through stories told by Kai. Where she was the 'villain' in doing nothing to help him with their father.

"You know what I'm gonna do when we get out of here?" Kai asks a quiet working Aurora, she working on the ascendant, and Kai decided to come annoy her. "No, but I'm sure you'll tell me" she replied, keeping her eyes off him. They had been trapped together for almost a week now, and had made no progress in getting out., except for the few pieces of the ascendant which she managed to put together.

"You're not gonna look at me?" he playfully scoffs, Aurora hums for a second, "Nope" she replies, "It's rude you know" he retorts, "You do know I don't care" she tells him, "Well, aren't you a ball of sunshine" Kai teases, Aurora rolls her eyes and briefly looks up at him. "If I look at you, will you leave me alone" she says, "Maybe" he replies, she sighs, fully looking up at him, an annoyed look on het face.

"Fine. What will you be doing when we get out of here?" she asks him, he scoffs, "You have to guess" he tells her. "What— I don't know. How the hell would I know?" she asks him, "Because if you had been listening the other day, about my grand scheme, then you'd know" he answers, "World domination, kill all the puppies and kittens in the world, I don't know" she says. Kai rolls his, "You're not very good at guessing"

"So tell me, I give up" Aurora snaps, "With that attitude, you'll get nowhere" he comments, Aurora was fed up with him, all his stupid little comments that just got to Aurora, and all his little digs at her life, claiming he knows everything about her, and she can't hide anything from him. She had only been trapped with him without Damon and Bonnie for only a few days, and she already wanted to rip his head off.

"Fine, tell me, don't tell me. I don't care, Kai" she snaps, slamming the piece of the ascendant she was holding onto the table. She stormed up out her seat, "Okay, I'll tell you. I'm sorry, this whole talking to a real person is still new to me" he calls out, stopping her in her strides. "Who did you talk to before we came along then?" she asks, "Myself, the statues, the people in pictures" he lists, "Anyways, back to the siblings"
