Aurora stood around her room, packing things into a bag that she can easily carry around, Kai was doing the same in his room. When she told him to get packing, he looked at her all confused, questioning why they needed to pack, they didn't need to when going to Portland. Aurora explained to him the journey and how long it will take to get there, and how they'll most likely have to spend the night on the island, meaning they'll need a few supplies.
He of course replied with something snarky and sarcastic, implying that 'they didn't need anything' and 'they'd be fine' which brought Aurora to tell him, that she was the expert on this, she knew the way to and around the island, and he could shut up and pack or she'd leave him behind and she get there herself. He needed her to get there. After that encounter, Kai surprisingly didn't bite back with some threat, "I run this place" "It's my prison world" "I'm the king" no, he just happily agreed and walked away to pack.
Which lead them to now, Aurora had finished packing, slinging the bag over her shoulders, she went over to Kai's room to see him still packing. "You're still packing? We're gonna be like a day, or two, don't need that much" she tells him, crossing her arms, he turns around and faces her, copying her actions in crossing his arms. "Well sorry, princess that daddy didn't take me camping ever as a child, too busy sulking about his abomination of a son" he replied, emphasizing on the nickname, princess.
"What, no school trips where you camped someplace for the night?" she questioned, he shook his head, "Oh yeah, we had those, 12th grade history, we stayed at this museum, but in the middle of the night, me and some other, let says delinquents, snuck out along with a few girls, had the time of our lives" he says whistling at the end, "Great, so pretend we're going on some 12th grade history trip. We don't have all day, we have to make a pitstop before we actually get going" she tells him, Kai groans and rolls his eyes, "Where would we have to go, don't we have everything?" he questions, "Um, hello, we need camping supplies and incase it wasn't clear, the Salvatores didn't have any in 1994" she says gesturing to the house.
"We can just go to the store nearby" Kai tells her, Aurora shakes her head, "And get bad quality tents? Yeah, no thank you. Who knows what the weather will be like there" she argues back, "Do either of us look like the weather man? No, we'll just wing the weather" Kai replies back, Aurora closes her eyes in frustration, she'd had enough with this, she was tired of the messing about. She just wanted to get to the island, get the magic, and it was one step closer to home.
"Alright, you listen to me, I'm in charge now, you're lucky I even told you about this, because if I thought of it, I would've headed there the moment the idea popped into my mind and left you here, I would've found another way out and leave you here. You need me, so don't even try to threaten me, you can't even do the spell to escape. So, not only do you need me to lead the way, but you need me to perform the spell to get you home, so hurry the hell up so we can leave" Aurora snaps, breathing heavily afterwards.
"Oh, we can go. I was done awhile ago, I just like seeing how quickly I can piss you off" Kai comments, giggling to himself. Aurora rolls her eyes, "Sometimes I wish I could kill you" she mumbles, but loud enough for him to hear, "Oh, but you can't" Kai replies, "Cause I'd just kill you first, let's be real" he adds, Aurora doesn't respond and walks out the room, Kai following after her. "So where's this pitstop of yours?" he questions trailing behind her, "The Lockwood mansion" she tells him, "And I'm supposed to know what that means?" he says confused.
"The mansion in town. It's owned by the Lockwoods" she informs him, "And what? They like rich or something?" he questions, Aurora nods, "Well at this time, Richard Lockwood is mayor, but in real time, I don't think they have a mayor since the last one got killed by Silas" Aurora informs him, continuing her walk towards the car outside to pack her bag in, but she stops once she realised Kai stopped trailing behind her. "What?" she asked upon seeing the look on his face.
