Chapter I

"Too slow!" Commander Shadis shouted as you groan loudly and continue doing some push up.

You are breathing hard and your arms are shaking. Your endurance is almost ending up and your body can't hold it anymore. You sigh and continued lifting your body up and down.

"Is that all you got, (L/N)? Faster!"

I want to be a potato! You frown as you continued doing your push up. Sweat are pouring down your face but you won't give up.

I-I can't feel my body anymore.

"There you go." He stated as you fall in the ground, exhausted more than anything else. You look at the other trainee beside you and some of them has passed out.

You are laying on your chest while trying your best to chase you breath. Your vision is getting blurry and your entire body is shaking due to the intense muscular and cardio-vascular endurance.

You are about to close your eyes when a voice near your location speaks.

"Get up, brats. You're not done with your training yet."

You know that voice and you sigh deeply upon hearing it. You love how his voice is crafted but you're a little bit scared of him— Captain Ackerman.

"Get up in five seconds, if you'll stay lazy, there will be no dinner for you."

You gasp when you see Sasha stand up immediately with such courage and fire in her eyes. You slowly stand up as well and tried to stay in posture. Commander Shadis is the one doing the training with all of you but Captain Ackerman, as the spectator, serves as the one who will judge your overall ability.

Speaking of Captain Ackerman, he's scary as hell! He always makes every trainee pass out due to intense training. He never smiles, he never show a hint of concern. He's just tough.

And right now, as you are staring at him, his eyes landed on you and he gives you a sharp glare making you gulp.

"(Y/N)," He started, "Who gives you the permission to look at me?"

Your hands starts shaking in nervousness. Oh no. If he gets upset, he will surely make you do intense activities and your can body can no longer endure it.

"M-my eyes, Captain," You muttered and curse slowly, "I mean, n-no one."

He stayed silent for a second but then he stated something, "Run 50 lapses."

"After it, can I die?" You asked in a really tired tone and your mind can't think straight.
