Chapter IX

"SHINZOU WO SASAGAEYO!"

Your heart beats faster when you hear Commander Erwin shout those words as all the horses rushes towards the titans.

This is basically a suicide mission to save Eren fucking Jaeger. You're close to him that's why you need to do something to help him out.

But the thing is— right now, right at this very moment where your life is in 50 percent chance, you're not in good terms with him. Your captain— Levi.

In your current situation, not being able to be in good terms with him makes everything more difficult for you.

It happened last week. While you are in training, Captain Levi serves as your spectator. You are currently doing a hand to hand combat with Reiner. He's really good at it and unfortunately for you, you're a bit weak at that time since you feel a little bit sick and your body is not in the mood of fighting. You know you can defeat Reiner when your body is in good condition but it is indeed unfortunate.

Levi is just looking at the both of you. You really did your best to defeat Reiner but you can't.

You punch and kick but he manages to avoid getting hit by those. He caught your wrist in the air as he roll you towards him. Because of the hardness of his pulls, you end up tripping on your feet and both you and Reiner falls on the ground. You are at the top of him and your lips almost touch each other because of the force.

You almost kiss him— accidentally.

Your eyes widened when you realized that someone is spectating you and when you look up, you see the emotionless expression of Levi Ackerman.

You immediately stand up and help Reiner as well. Thus, your combat fight ended there.

That day, Levi didn't talk to you or even throw a glance. You know it's because of what happened earlier in the combat but it's an accident, it's not a big deal.

The next day, you tried talking to him but he didn't seem interested to whatever you're about to talk. That's why you spend the entire day with Commander Smith, planning a tactical battle.

Later that night, while you're on your way home, a group of bandits from the underground tried to steal something from you. Fortunately, you are able to fight them easily. But they leave a small cut in your cheeks because of their tiny knives.

Because of tiredness, you barely manage to go home but when you open your door, a guy is standing inside.

"I already disposed those guys. But it won't change the fact that you need to do something, brat."

"Captain—"

Levi stare at you without any hints of emotion.
