Chapter XIV

"You're a warrior, (Y/N). Even when you lose those memories."

Your heart skipped a beat. You didn't say a word as you look at Zeke blankly.

"What do you mean? What..." You felt a pang of pain deep inside your heart, "What are you talking about? What memories?"

Zeke sits in the bed as he looks at you patiently.

"Try to remember something when you're a kid."

You didn't answer. Your memories are bland. The only thing you can remember is when you wake up and kind couples took care of you but they got killed by titans. It also happens when Reiner asked you the same thing.

All your childhood memories are bland and blurry.

"You can't remember your childhood memories, right?" Zeke stated as he sigh, "You're one of us. You are raised and train for Marley. We are trained to kill the island devils."

Island Devils?

You can't say a word. But tears fall in your eyes without you giving a certain facial expression. Your face is blank as you look at the wall in front of you, listening to every words in Zeke's mouth.

"Your primary mission is to infiltrate Eldia and gather the necessary information needed. Reiner, Annie, Marcel and Bertholdt's mission includes getting the power of the Attack Titan. Yours is different."

With every words, your heart tightened. There's an invisible rope that straggles you.

"In your journey towards the wall, Marcel got eaten by a titan. And when Hoover breaks the Wall Maria, an accident happens. While you are mixing up with the messed up crowd, you ended up pushing over to a complicated situation. Your head bumped into a huge wall debris. Reiner tries to save you but then, a couple helps you. Now, (Y/N), do you understand everything?"

Tears are rolling down your cheeks. You want to shout with what Zeke is saying. You know that he's not lying at all. There's a heavy burden in your chest. You can't say anything. All these time, you're a traitor— and you're not even aware of it.

Zeke's statement brings chaos in your mind and in your moral.

But the thing that hurts you the most is the fact that all these times, you're being a traitor to the person you love the most.

Levi, I'm sorry.

"I... I don't know what to say," You whispered as you cover your face with your hands, sobbing uncontrollably.

"(Y/N)—"

"W-what happened to the people inside the wall? Did you kill everyone?" You whispered between your sobs.
