Chapter XXI

You opened your eyes as the light from the window welcomes you. Your body feels heavy and it's still painful from what happened last night. Your body is covered with a blanket and Levi wasn't beside you.

You slowly sit up as you wrapped the blanket around your nakedness. You stand and look for Levi inside the house but he's not there. Upon walking towards the table, you see some medicine and a note with a beautiful cursive hand writing. You stretch your arm and start reading it.

Brat,

I'll be back before midnight. I'm expecting to see you when I get home. Take the pain reliever medicines. We'll start working on your stamina later. Be safe.

A smile curve in your lips as butterflies started playing in your heart. With this little gestures, you can feel Levi's feelings. For the first time in those four years, you feel genuinely happy and peaceful.

Levi, how can you make me feel this way?

Your smile vanishes when you realized that you have something to do first. You walk towards the bathroom— in which you can still remember the scenery last night— before cleaning yourself up.

After a while, you put your uniform on and went towards Marley headquarters.

Pieck waves at you as you waved back. She walks closer as she observes your face, "Did you have a good night sleep?"

You chuckled, "Yes. I'm able to rest well last night."

Pieck smiled for a moment, "I see. You look unusually blooming today. Whatever you did to sleep well last night, always do it."

You blush with her statement. Always do it? Sure why not?

Porco walks towards your direction and stare at your face as well, "Pieck is right. You look different."

That's the power of Levi Ackerman.

You faked a cough, "I-It's just because I'm able to rest well last night."

"Ah," Porco sigh, "By the way, the Tybur family will visit next week and we'll prepare for an extravagant celebration for something."

You want to asked something regarding the Tyburs but you didn't ask anything. You can feel that it's an important event that's why you want to find something about it alone.

You are assigned to do the paper works about random business transactions in Marley so you stayed in your office and do your job. You badly want to go home and meet Levi again but you can't.

After hours of working you went outside for a safety patrol. You are with Pieck and Porco. Nothing really happens but you see unfamiliar faces and you feel uncomfortable upon seeing them.
