You stared at Demi as she slept, her chest rising and falling with every gentle breath. She was lying on her back, one arm thrown over her stomach, the other beneath her head. A light smile formed on your face as you watched her. You couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. You love watching her sleep, it's been your favourite thing to do since you started sleeping over.
As if she was able to feel your eyes burning into her, her own beautiful brown irises fluttered open. Even in the dim-light that was coming from the lamp on your nightstand, you could see how beautiful her eyes really were. You love her eyes, they are your favourite thing about her.
"Baby?" her voice was husky and made your lower stomach twist. A light smile formed on your face as she rolled onto her side. "Why aren't you asleep?" she ran her hand up your thigh.
"I just can't sleep. I'm tired but every time I close my eyes, they just ping back open" she pushed herself up onto her elbow.
"You need to sleep, Baby, you've got work in..." she leant slightly over you to check the time on the clock. "4 hours" her eyes turned back to meet yours. You lifted your hand up to stroke a strand of hair behind her ear. She puckered her lips and you giggled as you leant down to peck them. "Try and get some sleep. Do you want a bedtime story?" she laughed as you rolled your eyes.
"If I need to be up in 4 hours, you need to be up in 3."
"Baby, I can sleep on the flight" you pulled your eyes away from her at the realisation that she was leaving in a matter of hours.
"Why do you have to leave?"
"If I could stay, I would" you nodded, staring down as Demi took your hand and intertwined your fingers with hers. "You know that I wouldn't leave if I didn't have to, right?"
"I know. You're touring the world and I'm so proud of you."
"I'm proud of you too, Baby."
"All I do is check people in and check people out, it isn't exactly..." she leant up and pressed a kiss to your lips, her attempt to shut you up from your rambling.
"But I'm still proud of you" she pressed her forehead to yours. "I love you" you nodded, pressing another quick peck to her lips. "Can you remember the day that we met?" Demi cuddled herself into your side and you smiled as she began to trace patterns on your chest. You wrapped your arm around her and ran your fingers through her hair.
"I can, but why don't you tell me?"
"Well, it was early one sunny Monday morning..." you lightly laughed. "And I was in need of some strong coffee because I had a long day ahead of me" your mind jumped back to a year ago. It has without a doubt been the best year of your life. "I ordered my regular and everything was great until this girl, who was obviously late for something, ran straight into me" you nibbled on your lower lip, remembering how guilty you felt. "She apologised over and over again, but all I could seem to focus on was how gorgeous she was. I didn't even care that I had hot coffee spilt all down my top" you lightly laughed.
"You just stood there as I repeatedly apologised" she glanced up at you and smirked.
"I told you, I was mesmerised by her beauty."
"I love you too, Demi" she leant up to peck your lips and then cuddled back into you, a yawn slipping from her luscious lips. "Go to sleep, Baby" she draped her arm over your waist and you smiled as you ran your hand along her arm and began to trace along her many tattoos.
"Try and get some sleep too."
"I will, Baby" you didn't think that you would fall to sleep but you wanted Demi to at least get some sleep. Your fingers ran through her hair and it was only a moment later that her breathing changed. You cuddled yourself more into her, as gentle as you could as not to wake her. She was still asleep once you got comfortable and you surprisingly found yourself falling to sleep in her arms. Your favourite place to be.
