Y/N
"Babe?" I glanced up from my notebook to find my roommate stood in my doorway.
"Can I help you?"
"You fancy going to a party tonight?" I rolled my eyes and glanced back down at my homework for college.
"I don't do parties" she groaned and began further into the room. She dropped back against my bed causing me to sigh in annoyance. "You're creasing my work" I shoved her lightly causing her to sit up and move around slightly.
"Please will you come tonight?" I glanced up to meet her puppy dog eyes. I could feel myself starting to cave.
I have known my roommate, or rather my best friend, for over 10 years. She's practically my sister.
"Who's party is it?" her mouth started to tug at the corners.
"It's just some guys that I perform with every so often" I narrowed my eyes at her because of her vagueness.
"Do I get a name for this guy?"
"Matthew" I nodded, glancing back down at my work. "So, are you coming?" she began to poke me with her foot.
"Yes, if you stop poking me with your foot" she squealed her excitement and I just rolled my eyes.
"Okay, we need to get ready. What the hell are you going to wear? You don't own dresses."
"Maybe not, but I do own clothes."
"I'm going to pick out something" I went to argue but decided against it as she turned towards my closet.
What the hell have I got myself in for?

"I can't believe you dragged me into this, Trish" she giggled as I followed her out of the Uber.
The house in front of us was huge and it was swarming with people. The music was echoing down the street.
"Come on, Babe. You're going to love it" I rolled my eyes but allowed her to pull me towards the front door.
I felt self conscious as I pulled at the tight dress that Trish had shoved me into. I don't normally wear dresses. I'm more of a jeans person but apparently this party is too high end for me to rock up in jeans and a top.
I haven't a clue who this Matthew guy is but if he can afford a place like this to live, he must earn a lot of money.
The door was open as we approached it and the amount of people stood around had my heart pounding. I hate parties. They're normally full of drunk people who are unable to walk in a straight line. If you hadn't guessed, I don't drink often and when I do, it's normally just a glass. I'm not a fan of the after affect.
"Trish" I watched as Trish turned towards the living room that was overflowing with people.
"Matthew" she locked her arms around him in a hug as I just awkwardly stood there, tugging down my dress. "Matt, this is my best friend, Y/N" I gave him a smile and a nod.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N."
"You too, Matt" he turned his attention back to Trish and I swear they shared a smirk. I just shook my head and decided to ignore it. I can't be bothered to question it.
"There's drinks in the kitchen, just help yourself."
"Come on" Trish wrapped her hand around my wrist and pulled me down the hallway and into the kitchen.
