Chapter 5

*Kurai's POV*

It's been seven years since I awoke in that forest. It was nerve racking at first but I learned how to use chakra with guidance from Yami, not much advanced stuff he said that's more a more later date but he says I can beat an average Jounin pretty easily.

I haven't ventured far from the forest only to a nearby village for any extra supplies. I found out that I am in the land of fire about a five day journey to Kohanah. I decided to go there after to grew strong enough and strong I have become.

I am known in the bingo book as the Shadow Huntress. I am only know because ninja have come across me and tried to take me out but they always ended up going back as corpses or in critical damage. Now they know to leave me alone. I am also know as the Grim Reaper. Yami tasked me as a grim reaper here to help collect the souls of the dead.

Right now I am at jumping through the woods looking for my next meal with Hitori at my heals well all of a sudden I heels the clanging of kunai and a big boom that shook the tree I was in.

I looked at Hitori with an eyebrow raised. He just shrugged and we continued on toward the sounds. As we got closer we came upon a wind open field and in the middle stood ten shinobi.

I landed on a tree watching the battle unfold. It was a battle of two-against-eight with the two losing but not by much seeing how there was ten other bodies on the ground. All of a sudden one of the two shinobi fell to the floor not moving so it was eight against one.

I sat there watching till I noticed something. This shinobi was a dude with gravity-defying silver hair. My eyes widened and I grinned as I recognized him, it was Kakashi Hatake.

Kakashi was near his limits as he fell to the ground and surrounded by the other shinobi. I smirked and nodded at Hitori so he knew I was going in. I quickly pulled out a black hooded cloak and a black wolf mask with red designs on it before I pulled on a special kunai and threw in across the field right in the middle of the men. They all looked stunned before looking around searching for me.

The leader sent out some men but I was perfectly hidden in the tree, so only four men remained. My smirk grew as I saw the leader pull out a katana and point it at Kakashi who was staring at the kunai. Attached to the kunai was a specific seal I knew he recognized.

The leader grew anger when he saw Kakashi not listening and swung down his katana. I quickly pulled out another kunai before I teleported right in front of Kakashi and too say they were surprised was the least.

As they were frozen in place I made rapid hand signs and thought 'Dark Style: Nightmare Shock.'the men other that Kakashi fell to the floor in pain as I put them in my genjutsu. It let them see Yami and the underworld while being tortured by a zap of black electricity.

After a few minutes the men stop moving dead from experiencing hell and the electricity frying their brains. I turned around to meet the wide eyed Kakashi. I looked over him quickly seeing as how he was greatly injured. I took a step forward to heal him but stopped as he rose his hand to make hand signs. I ride my hands in a show of no harm and spoke softly, "I mean no harm but you are greatly injured let me heal you."

He was skeptical for a moment before he responded in his usually bored tone, "only if you tell me your name and show me your face."

I sighed before pulling down my hood and taking off my mask and saying, "my name is Kurai, sir. Now may I heal you?"

Kakashi nodded before I took a step toward him and my hands glowed dark green not the usual medical jutsu green. Kakashi went rigged again holding up his hands again before I assured him, "calm down this is going to harm you. It's a special type of medical jutsu I can do."

He calmed down once again before letting me come closer but he still hand his guard up. I put my glowing hand to his forehead before stepping back. He looked confused before his eyes widened once again as he started to glow dark green. Once the light dyed down he looked good as new. He stood up checking all his injuries before turning to me with a smile. He bowed, "thank you, Kurai."

"No problem mister. But may I ask your name and why your so far out in these woods?"

He gave me his signature closed eyes smile, "my name is Kakashi Hatake and I was on my way back from a mission before we were ambushed."

He looked around with a sad smile before walking over to the other shinobi who fell but as I got over my eyes widened, there on the ground bleeding heavily was Guy. I gasped before I run over to him and checked for a pulse. I sighed happily before doing hand signs and healing him too. I looked over at Kakashi who stared at Guy, "he should wake up soon. He had some serious injuries and lost a lot of blood but healed him for now. You should get him checked out later but he should wake up about....now."

Guy eyes open just as I said that and he jumped up into a fighting stance before looking around. He spotted me and dashed at me attacking me in a taijutsu battle but before he could land an attack on me I flipped him over jabbed a point on his neck. He landed with a thud laying limp on the ground.
I sighed before turning to Kakashi who had a major sweatdrop.

I giggled as he knelt by Guy's side and poked him. He looked toward me then back at him and me again. I giggled as his rubbed his neck and apologized, "sorry for his behavior. He isn't the brightest ninja shall I say."

"It's fine." I walked over and touched the back of his neck. Guy junped up into another fighting stance before looking me over and glancing at Kakashi who just shrugged. He then glomped me in a hug swinging me around. I started screaming, "PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOWWWW!!!"

Guy put me back down and ran over to Kakashi yelling, "KAKASHI MY ETERNAL RIVAL. WHO IS THE YOUTHFUL CHILD!" Kakashi turned toward me as I was patting down my cloak before saying, "this is Kurai. She saved us during the fight after you got knocked out. She also healed us both."

Guy turned to Kakashi who was just shaking his head. "Well then boys I must be off but don't worry about the mess I got something for that."

They looked at me confused until I did a sharp whistle they covered there ears for. A few seconds later Hitori jumped out of the bushes scaring the crap out of Kakashi and Guy. Hitori grinned at me before cleaning up the bodies(eating) for me.

Kakashi muttered with a wide eye, "black cloak and mask, black wolf and high level jutsu. Don't tell me your the Shadow Huntress?"

I turned to them with a bright smile, "why yes Kakashi I am. Does that bother you?"

They both were gapping at me wide eyed still. I huffed before walking up to the two and poking the with a chakra infused finger on the forehead. They both winced but snapped out of it.

As I started to walk away again Kakashi grabbed my wrist making me halt. "Do you mind coming with us to Kohonah we would like to ask you some questions?"

I turned my head looking over my shoulder and said with a smile, "sure!"

I whistled again softer this time making Hitori bounce over to me. Kakashi and Guy stared at Hitori's muzzle which was covered in blood. They both shuddered but walked away but not before Guy starting firing questions at me. I just sighed and followed Kakashi to Kohonah.
