Chapter 4

*Kurai's POV*
A warm breeze blew my hair into my face tickling my nose and making me sneeze and wake up from my sleep.

I sat up running my eyes with my small hands before crawling over to a lake near me. As I near the lake I look and see a black wolf cub with shackles on its front paws and neck before I realize it's Hitori. "Hitori" I scream standing up and rushing over to the young cub taking more strides then I would usually.

I land on my knees next to him before gently shaking him with my small hands. He stirs before opening his red eyes and looking at me. He looks confused before he jumps up and tackles me growling a little before asking, "who are you? You aren't Kurai!"

I blink before chuckling and saying "what do you mean Hitori? It's me Kurai! Why do you not recognize me?"

He looks at me again before sniffing the air and giving me a wolfish grin and licking my face!

"Kurai it is you I'm sorry but you look so different."

'Different?' I think tilting my head the it clicks. 'I have freakishly small hands.' I scramble out from underneath him and run over to the lake.

I look into the lake to see the reflection of a young girl. She has the same red hair and sky blue eyes as me but she is at least is ten years younger. I move my hand to touch the water before I scream and fling myself away trying to clear my thoughts. That's when I remembered what happened last night. The raid, dying, meeting death and making that deal.

I grin before thinking, 'thank Yami' and hear a chuckle in the back of my head, "your welcome young one."

My head shoots up and I look around before asking, 'Yami was that you?'

"Yes young one that was I for now that you are my Jinjuriki we can speak to each other in you mind."

I squeal in delight before I can stop myself and realize, 'my voice is so high pitch and childish. It sounds as if I am five again!'

"Well you are five again young one but you still have your old world strength and knowledge only slightly adjusted to fit your younger body."

'That is so cool' I internally squeal!

I hear another chuckle before I turn around to face Hitori, "you won't believe what happened Hitori!"

'Wow ain't you a loud beat now.' He stats won't an eye roll.

I scoff and retort smugly, "I wouldn't be talking Hitori you're a cub now."

His eyes widen before he bounds off to the lake to look at hIs reflection which he howls at and growls backing up. He looks at me before tackling me again and growls out a 'explain!'

I chuckle before sayings, "I kind wolf, made a deal with the devil!"

I then explain to him what happened during and after the raid. I also tell him about how I am the Jinjuriki of the shinigami and about how I can so communicate with him. His expression grim when I tell him about the deal. I smile sadly at him thinking about how I will miss him after when the deal commences and how I miss everyone.

A tear slides down my cheek as I stare up at the sky it's mid day at least and slightly warm. I feel a nudge at my side and whine come from Hitori as he asks, 'do you think he will allow me in this deal?'

I think for a moment, "don't know maybe! How about I ask?"

He nods hi head before I say in my mind, "Yami did you hear that?"

"Yes young one and I will allow it, if it will bring you joy in your afterlife."

"Thank you! Oh thank you Yami!"

I grin turning back to Hitori giving him a very happy nod. He grins back, 'tell him I said thank you.'

I nod but as I go to respond I hear, "your welcome young cub."

Hitori's head shoots up and looks around growling, 'who was that?'

I laugh and say, 'that Hitori was Death!"

He gives me and 'oh' expression. I stand up and pat my hands on a white dress I just noticed I was wearing before looking around finally seeing where we are. We are surrounded by tree and bushes. I hear a birds chirping and the wind swaying the branches.

I look at the ground noticing all the flowers and in the distant I spot my black bag. I rush over to it and open it up. Inside was so money, food, change of clothes, water, maps, scrolls and thankfully my iPhone and black headphones. I jump with glee as I turn it on.

I put it back in the bag and look at the maps and scrolls. I first map was of some five great nations and put it too the side and pick up the second one. My eyes widen as I read over the name of the land. It read Village Hidden in the Leaves: Kohanahgakure. I look toward Hitori who looks confused and say, "Hitori we're in Naruto."
