"you what?!" my dad raises his voice
"it's not that bad dad! they pay well and i know how to defend myself when it comes to boys"
"yeah! and i pick her up all the time" taeyong adds as he tries to calm the situation
hell i was so confused, why are my parents here having tea at almost 12 midnight and scolding me instead of welcoming each other because we haven't seen each other in years
"we understand that you two want to become independent but please, you two are in college, focus on your academics first" my mother says
"it is our job to provide for the both of you, all we ask is for you both to do well in school" my dad adds
"starting tomorrow you will live in the mansion, you" he points to me "will quit your job, and you" he points to taeyong "will remain the cafe owner but you will not be required to work"
"but dad- i" i tried reasoning but got cut off
"no buts, i expect to see high grades from you two, you can't be the heirs of the company like this" he says again
"but dad i don't want to be the heir of the company, i want to produce music and create art and taeyong was forced into this, when we clearly know he was meant to become a rapper" i plead almost crying

"yes really" she softly tightens the hug

i cover my eyes as i walked towards the room i peeked a little to see them looking at me
"you can go continue i'm just gonna-" i wave my hands as i walked towards the room trying not to trip on thin air
i entered my room and laid down on the bed feeling all the weight on my body dissolve
