2|Neighbor's family

Aidan's Pov:

It was a surprise seeing that girl I saw from the airport now being my neighbor, I mean I'm not complaining she seems nice. Plus I found out she just moved here so the least I can do is be her friend, I had asked her if Y/n and her family wanted to come over for dinner. She said she would go ask her parents but I'm sure they weren't coming over, "Aidan!" I heard my name from downstairs.

I got up off my bed coming down to see Y/n and her family in the doorway of our house coming in, I knew I had a big grin on my face cause I could feel myself starting to sweat, ew. Finally I was able to not have such a big grin but at the same time I'm glad the neighbors could come over.

I saw my mom and Y/n come over by the stairs that I had just now realized that I was still at, "Hey Aidan, dinner isn't ready yet and the Y/l/n's and I were gonna talk. Do you mind taking Y/n up to your room?" She asked me, "I- um y- yeah that's fine" I realized I was nervous. Crap! Why!? I just met Y/n!

She followed me to my room and I sat at my desk, I really didn't know what to say. Why was I nervous now but wasn't at the airport? Or when I was talking to her through my window!? "You play the guitar?" I heard her say, I turned and noticed her holding it. I got up "Yeah, I write songs too but haven't lately" I sat on my bed playing something, but it was just random. She sat next to me watching me play, she giggled "What? I- I'm nervous..." I said quietly "Well I was nervous coming over here" she said back.

Wait... she was? I mean she looked excited when I asked her earlier, I don't blame her honestly. I felt the same now with butterflies in my stomach. We both heard our names from downstairs, I looked at Y/n "Looks like dinners ready" I said standing up and holding out my hand. She froze and I think blushing? Crap does that mean both of us now!? She forced a smile on her face and got up on her own while we now walked down the stairs until I heard a "Oooooh" from my living room.

"Y/b/n I'm going to kill you! Would you shut up!?" Y/n yelled, well now I know not to make her mad in the future. We all sat at the table with Y/n's brother next to me in including my mom and everyone else on the other side. It was silent until a question was asked, "So.. Y/n.. Aidan, what did you 2 do upstairs? Anything... interesting?" I almost choked on my food and Y/n dropped her cup, "What? No all we did was get to know each other Y/b/n" Y/n said going to grab paper towels while I was still gagging, "Aidan you ok?" her dad asked.

I put my hand up as I went to the bathroom, I finally stopped choking. What the hell was even happening right now? I look like a total idiot right now in front of the Y/l/n's, I mean really it was her brother which was a real prick. After an hour of which felt like embarrassment they left, I mean Y/n was a nice girl. Could I maybe have a chance with her? No.. Yes? At this point that's all that went through my head all night. Which was not a good idea since I had school in the morning. Wait... Shit my homework!
