Dream opened George's door carefully, "Hey, I got you that water."

George glanced over, offering a soft smile, "Thank you, Dream."

Dream nodded as he handed the cup to George. He looked over at the light blue dresser, "Hi, Niki."

"Good evening, Dream," she said, "I haven't seen you in a bit."

"Yeah," Dream shrugged, "Sorry."

"It's.." Niki was shocked at the genuine sound in his voice, "It's quite alright, Dream, I understand you're a bit busy nowadays."

Dream shrugged awkwardly once again. Him and Niki's friendship, if one would even call it that, was tense. She was by far one of the angriest at him, Dream looked back over to George, who sat back on the seat near the window. Dream walked over, crouching beside him.

"Whatcha doing?" Dream asked.

George pointed out the window, "The stars."

"What about them?"

"I think they're pretty." smiled George, "You don't see them like this back in Terraville. Plus, analyzing the stars with Sapnap is a chore."

"Is that so?"

"Oh, Gog-Meister! Look that one looks like you!" George mocked Sapnap's voice, "He'd usually be pointing to some star pattern that looks like a rat or something."

Dream wheezed, "Really?!"

"Really," George laughed, "He knows it won't hurt my feelings or anything."

"How so?"

"When you think of a rat," George began, "You'd think some smelly, crusty looking rodent, right?"

"Isn't that all it is though?"

"Of course not," George said, "They're like, small little workers. They like cheese, and they share it with their families. They have little whiskers and big ol' eyes. Some of them have soft fur."

"What about the diseases they carry, George?" Dream smiled softly.

"Eh," George shrugged, "If your favorite person in the whole wide world had a disease, would you immediately hate them?"

"No," Dream responded, "I don't think so."

"There you have it, then," said George, "Rats aren't that bad, they're little creatures just like everyone else."

Dream smiled at what George just taught him. There's beauty in everything. Even a smelly rat, George was able to make him see the good within it.

"Do you think there's good in a monster?"

"What do you mean?" George looked back over from the window to Dream.

Dream motioned to himself, "A monster. Can you find the beauty in that?"

"Don't call yourself a monster," George frowned, "You aren't a monster."

"George, that's literally what I am," stated Dream, "I'm cursed to look like a monster."

"Looks aren't the way to know someone," George replied, "For example, what did you think of me when you first saw me?"

Dream thought for a moment before answering, "You looked like a wimpy, maybe poor, kinda creepy, dude."

"And what do you think about me now that you've met me," George asked.

"I think you're..." Dream couldn't think, "I don't know, George. I don't think there's a word to describe you."
