"Okay, Goku, show me your progress on Kaioken times ten" King Kai said. That was the one technique Goku was having a hard time on. It just had so much strain on his body, but he was sure he was getting a hang of it. "Goku, stop getting lost in thought and do it already!"

"Oh, sorry. KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!" Goku shouted, an instant red aura going around him. He panted, then rushed forward and punched the nearest tree. He got out of it and sat down, panting. "I - I did it."

"You shouldn't have to do that everytime you do that form of Kaioken. Get off your ass and try again!" King Kai berated him, hopping up in the air as he screamed.

"Wow, King Kai, you're normally not like this. Is something wrong? Oh well. I'll try again. Besides, the worst it can do is sap all of my energy," Goku said. He got up and took a deep breath. He was so close to being able to go Kaioken times eleven. Maybe that's why King Kai was so focused on him mastering Kaioken times ten. "KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!"

The same red aura went around him. This time, he went on for longer. Finally, after fifty seconds, Goku's energy gave out and panted. He shook his head. He needed to try harder. Goku did it again, this time he lasted longer. Goku heard his stomach growl, and laughed. All this training was making him hungry. King Kai didn't look annoyed this time. As he made the food, Goku continued training at Kaioken times ten.

"Goku, your lunch is ready! Don't get yourself sick, jeez!" King Kai said.

"Oh come on, King Kai, you know I never get myself sick!" Goku said, with his mouth full, King Kai looking slightly annoyed. "Hey, King Kai, do you think I can defeat those Saiyans once I'm done with your training? I mean we have what, two months left until I have to fight those guys?"

"I don't know, Goku...and stop talking with your mouth full! It's rude! Also, I think you are ready for Kaioken times eleven," King Kai said.

"Great!" Goku cheered.

King Kai laughed, and Goku began one of the hardest parts of his training.

(Meanwhile in the living world)

Raditz dodged a Masenko blast that Gohan threw at him and elbowed his nephew down to the ground. He then turned to Piccolo, who smirked. They had made up a little game called "Knock Out." If the opponent fell out of sky, they lost. Piccolo fired a powerful energy blast that Raditz admittedly had a hard time dodging. They had become friends in the ten months they'd trained together. And, Raditz had become much stronger than he was before.

Raditz had learned how to sense power levels too, but he knew it wouldn't be enough. He'd be able to hold his own, he knew, but he wouldn't be able to win. In fact, none of them would be able to win. They had two more months to prepare, but Raditz was nervously anticipating that they would arrive early. He would just have to wait and see.

(2 months later)

Raditz must have been shaking; because Gohan punched him in the shoulder. Raditz straightened up and gazed ahead, stoic. As scared as he was of the Saiyans, he wouldn't show it. He just hoped his brother would be able to come in time. They watched as the sky turned black, and Shenron was summoned. They watched nervously until the sky turned back to normal. Raditz let out a sigh of relief.

Even if they didn't manage to survive the battle, they would still have Goku to save the world. Raditz just hoped that Goku's training would be enough to save the world. Raditz smiled and looked to the sky. You can do this, Kakarot. I know you can,Raditz thought.

(Meanwhile, on Snake Way)

Goku flew as fast as he could down Snake Way. He had to get there as quickly as possible. He had mastered Kaioken times thirteen. He hoped that would at least help him in the battle. He knew that the fate of the planet rested on his shoulders, and he wouldn't let them down. He didn't care how long it took, he would send those rotten Saiyans to hell if he had to. He normally didn't like killing, but if they intended to kill everyone; did he really have much of a choice?

He frowned, he knew he couldn't waste his stamina, but he couldn't let the Saiyans hurt any of his friends. But, he knew that he probably wouldn't make it in time for the first part of the battle. Goku shook his head, he had to reach the living world without losing precious energy. But the question was, how would he do it? He knew he had to hurry up, and he couldn't go Kaioken in order to speed it up, that would do more harm than good.

Goku sighed, his friends would just have to hang in there. He just hoped that the Saiyans weren't there yet. He reached the half way point and sighed with relief; he may just reach them in time. If that was even possible. Hang in there guys, Goku thought, his eyes narrowing with concentration.

(Meanwhile, in the living world)

Raditz watched the sky nervously as they waited for the Saiyans to arrive. He sensed a power level coming towards them, and looked up, curiously. Before he could identify who it was, they landed beside Gohan. Raditz recognized the bald man that he had slapped through Kame House. Raditz could understand if he didn't really trust him. Just as he expected, as soon as the bald one, Krillin (he believed he remembered his name to be) glared at him, his eyes burned with his visible distrust.

"I'm going to wait on the top of one of those pillars so I can watch for the Saiyans to arrive. Call me if you need anything," Raditz said, flying up to the tallest pillar. He watched anxiously as he waited for the Saiyans to arrive on the horizon. He saw two figures, and saw two people he didn't recognize. He was hoping they were just team mates. He watched as two figures came into view. He gulped, it was them. "Guys! The Saiyans are here!"

"Shit!" Piccolo spat, looking to the sky as Raditz flew back to them. Just as Raditz landed, the Saiyans were in full view. Raditz watched with nervous apprehension as the Saiyans landed in front of the group. "So, you're the Saiyans?" Piccolo said.

"Yes, we are... Raditz?! What are you doing here?! I thought we told you to stay out of our way!" Vegeta snapped, his tail twitching with irritation.

"Well, you labeled Kakarot and I as outcasts and weaklings, but, I've gotten stronger than you think, and I'm sure my brother has too. So, you had better watch out! I'm done being treated like a weakling, and an underling! That I am not, I am Raditz, son of Bardock and brother to Kakarot!" he said, confidence burning in his normally nervous eyes.

This was it; the battle for the fate of the Earth. Was at last, ready to begin.
