"Do you want to just follow me?" Since the fiasco in physiology Cole has not left my side. I decided I just wanted to leave early, that was our last class anyways. We worked it out to where Audrey would take Tristian to my house after school, then we would hang out at my house. Everything was planned except for one tiny detail: Cole's car.

"I really don't want to leave her here. What if something happens?" Cole looks like a father taking his daughter to school for the first time. I can't help but giggle at his face. He is so cute. Cocky one minute, then a puppy the next.

I don't really blame him for not wanting to leave his car. I wouldn't leave mine. "Okay, just follow me." I turn to go to my car, but Cole grabs my wrist.

"When you want to talk I'm here. What happened back there was horrible. Just know I'm here okay. Nobody has a perfect life, we all just act at being perfect. Remember that okay?"

I hug Cole. "Thank you," I breathe.

Cole tightens his hold, "You're welcome Clair."

I reluctantly pull away from his hold, and look up at his face. God, I want to kiss you so bad. "You know you're kinda like a superhero. You saved me twice, and you've only known me for a week."

Cole gazes directly into my eyes with so much emotion, "Well," Cole smirks, "I guess I like being your Superman."

And he's back. My face reddens. "You know, this whole conversation is reminding me of a Bon Jovi song." I giggle.

Cole thinks for a minute, and then his whole face lights up. Like he's Bon Jovi himself he breaks out singing, and dancing like a mad man.

"Who's gonna hold you, when you turn out your lights. I won't lie....duh dun duh....I wish that I.... Could be you superman tonight!"

I double over laughing. I'm practically wheezing. Cole looks at me offended, and throws his right hand over his heart. This doesn't help the situation I just laugh harder.

"Oh, so you think I can't sing? That's mean Clair, you're not supposed to laugh at your personal Superman."

I try to pull myself together, but I end up stuttering. "M-my Sup-erman c-can't s-sing." I take a deep breath, and look up into Cole's eyes. "But he does have a good taste in music, so you're good."

"Since you didn't comment on my dancing I'm going to take that as a good sign."

I start laughing again. How could I forget his dancing? "Nope," I say popping the P," you're terrible." I say running towards my car. I laugh again when I think of his flailing arms, and uncontrollable singing. "Come on, schools almost over let's leave before we get stuck in traffic."

Cole brings his hand up, and does a mock salute. "After you my fair maiden."

I get in my car, and reverse out of my spot. My smile just grows on my face. I can't shake this giddy feeling when he said my. I didn't like when Justin said my, he was too possessive. But when Cole says it, I don't want to be anything but his.

The drive home wasn't too bad. There was the usual traffic, but not too much considering school wasn't out yet. When we left the parking lot I wanted nothing more than to drive on the backroads behind our school. Considering the day I had, I can't believe I didn't. I look in my rearview mirror and see Cole behind me.

The black paint glistens under the sun. I pry my eyes away from the site, and focus on getting us home. God, tonight is going to be horrible. In my seventeen years of life, I have only brought one guy over to see my family. Justin. I wasn't nervous then, because he knew about my family from seeing them at dinners and benefits, plus we were dating. Cole and I are not, but that won't stop my mom from interrogating him.

Even with Justin she questioned him even though she had known him and his family for years. I can practically hear it now. How old are you? Drugs? Drinking? Whose family do you belong to? Why did you move? And the questions go on and on. Hopefully I will be able to save Cole from her, and tell her not to ask things too personal.

I slow down when I near the guard building, and check to make sure Cole's still there. I role down my window as Eddie rises from his chair. Well that's weird, Eddie never gets up.

Eddie leans out the window and looks at Cole's car. "You do know there is someone following you right? If he's stalking you I can arrest him." he says never moving his eyes away from Cole's car.

I look back to see Cole awkwardly wave at Eddie. I laugh a little, "It's fine Eddie, he's with me. My parents invited him to dinner."

Eddie looks at me and narrows his eyes like he's trying to be a human lie detector. "Okay," he says slowly, "if he bothers you let me know."

I nod at Eddie, and he lets us through the gate. I look behind me in just enough time to see Eddie glaring at Cole. I laugh a little more, maybe this won't be that bad...
