I leapt out of bed and grabbed the first t- shirt I saw, some jeans, and my boots. I threw my hair up into a ponytail and raced down the stairs and told my dad, "I'm late! Can you drive me?"
"Sure, Sophia! Calm down, get your backpack and come down and get some breakfast," Dad said. I ran back up the stairs and realized that I had forgotten all my school supplies and schedule at home in Florida. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs again and headed toward the kitchen to get a quick breakfast. I sat down and Dad put a bowl of Cheerios in front of me. I picked up the spoon and ate a few bites and suddenly, something bit my toe. "Ouch! What was that?!" I exclaimed.
"Oops, that was Ronnie... Sorry about that..." My dad said.
"Let's just go to school now," I said through clenched teeth. My toe really hurt.
"Alright. Lemme just go find my keys," Dad said. Five minutes later, we arrived at the school. "Do you have everything?" Dad asked.
"Yep, I think so," I replied. I stepped out of the car and walked into the building, hoping only for the best.
