These voices don't really sound like girls... I thought. I peeked through the crack in the stall, and I saw three urinals. Then it dawned on me; Oh my gosh, I'm in the boy's bathroom! How am I going to get out? Would it work if I tried to wait them out? It was my only choice. I leaned up against on the wall, and next thing I knew, I heard the bell. I had fallen asleep! Great. I looked out the stall, and I saw some kid looking at himself in the mirror. Seriously, this kid needs to get a move on so I can get outta here! I thought angrily. I stuffed my hair into my hoodie and hoped I looked like a boy. I crept out of the stall and snuck past the boy and ran out the door, and blended into the crowd. Fourth hour was a bore, and the same for the rest of the day. After sixth hour, I grabbed my stuff out of my locker and headed out the door to go home. I walked out the door to the busses. I stepped up onto bus 175 and went to the furthest seat back.
"Hiya," a friendly voice said as a girl slid in the seat next to me. "What's your name?"
"I'm Sophia," I grunted.
"What's the matter?" She looked genuinely concerned. The girl had red hair and big brown eyes.
"Oh, nothing. Just having a bad day, I guess." The bus lurched to a stop.
"Oh! There's my stop. Bye!" The girl got up and walked out the bus. I rode the rest of the way home in silence. When the bus stopped at my house, I got out of my seat. I started walking out of the bus, but someone stuck their foot out in the aisle and tripped me. My phone flew out of my pocket and smashed onto the ground. "Ow!" I exclaimed. I scrambled up onto my feet and picked up my phone. "Darn it," I mumbled. My phone had cracked all over. I trudged out of the bus and into the house. I started to go up the stairs, but Dad caught me before I could make it up.
"How was school?" he asked.
