Chapter 2 -Changes

It's been a few days since Naruto had been elected as the fifth hokage of the village hidden in the leaf and he had yet to leave the office. He was thankful for that cleaning jutsu he made a few years back.

'Speaking of which, I need to check out the Uzumaki estate, need to make such it's ready for their arrival in the future.' he thought smiling before getting serious again.

"Anbu, summon Shikaku.'

... 

Naruto looked up from his documents as Shikaku entered his office, "Lord Hokage you called?" he asked walking through the door.

"Ahh, Yes bring me a map of the village, while you're at it bring Kakashi Hatake and Asuma Sarutobi." 

"Yes, Sir."

Naruto had spent the entire night in the office looking through documents and sorting through files. 'I miss Haku.' he thought to himself.

'The faster I get this done the faster I'll  be able to see her.' he smiled to himself. 'Damn it.' he cursed readjusting his pants, his girlfriend isn't something he should be thinking about on the job.

...

"Lord Hokage." the jonins greeted entering the office with Shikaku

"Lord Hokage, he's the map you requested along with the two jonins." Naruto nodded before proceeding to set up a quick sound proof seal.

Taking the map from Shikaku he closed his eyes and roamed his hand over the map several times before marking locations.

"Hatake, Sarutobi, we will be going to these locations and clearing them out, if anyone tries to attack me you are to kill them unless I say otherwise, understood?" he asks standing up.

"Understood." they responded with zero hesitation.

...

"Lord Hokage, if I may ask, what is going on?" asked Kakashi confused, of course he'll follow his hokage's orders but he'd like a slight insight on what was happening.

"We are going to get rid of ROOT." was his response as they neared a cave. 

"Didn't dad already take care of that?" asked Asuma very confused, he was sure his dad took care of it, or at least he thought so.

"No, offense Asuma, but as much as I like the old man, he's an idiot and slightly incompetent. Danzo merely removed ROOT from the surface and started working more privately and won't tolerate that in my village, I hope you understand." he explained feeling kinda guilty for insulting the old man, but even Asuma has to agree that his father was no longer in his ninja prime.

Asuma nodded in understanding before asking. "But how do you know the locations."

Naruto smirked from beneath his mask. "That's for me to know and for you to find out." The hokage title wasn't the only title he planned on taking from the old man, he thinks god of shinobi also fits him quiet nicely.

The conversation ended there as the team made their way into the cave, the seemed normal, well, to the naked eye at least.

Naruto's chackra and kyubii enhanced eyes however could see the chackra running through the wall and underneath the floors.

"Use your chackra to hold onto the wall." he instructed. His orders were followed in an instant as he punched a hole into the ground. "Let's go." he said jumping in.

The team of three shinobi went through the bases knocking out it's occupants and killing anyone who tried resisting and unsurprisingly they didn't come across Danzo. 

'Of course he was smart enough to not stick around his bases.' Naruto smirked. 'Let's see how long we can play this game of cat and mouse.'

...

It's been about 3 hours since Naruto and the two jonins had left and they had finished cleaning out the bases. He had given them a small pay for their excellent work on such short notice.

"Anbu." he says motioning the anbu in his office.

"Lord Hokage."

"Go to these locations with a few anbu of your choice and take the occupants as prisoners." he instructed handing the man a map of the areas he was to visit.

...

In less than two hours the anbu reported back.

"Lord Hokage, I cleared out the locations you gave along with a few other anbu soilders and the occupants were taken prisoners as requested. They are in the T and I headquarters awaiting your orders." 

"Good, I'm quiet happy with the efficiency of your work. Dismissed." Naruto smiled from beneath his mask. 'Now that that's done I can start sorting out other things.'

Naruto summoned a messenger toad to summon his two advisers. 

"Naruto I'm surprised you called us, do you actually need help." Tsunade asked suspiciously, Naruto didn't need help, she was well aware of the that fact but gave him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't call them just to annoy them, well her she could care less about the pervert.

"Nope, but I'll need you two to make the announcement, I'll be too busy in the office to make it." both Tsunade and Jeriyah looked at each other before frowning at this.

 "Naruto don't overwork yourself, remember to take breaks." the slug princess reminded him. 'Still such a workaholic.' she thought. 'Just like his dad.' Jeriyah reminisced.

'If only Haku was here, she'd get him to stop work.' she smiled sadly at the thought knowing Naruto had missed his girlfriend.

"So what announcements do you want to be made?"

"The new sales tax is 10% on all items above 1000 dollars. The orphanage will be receiving a new care taker. Anyone accused of rape or murder will be taken to T and I for evaluation and if found guilty will be killed and I will be personally deal with accounts of theft." 

"I like these laws, it's a great start in your new leadership." smirked Jeriyah as Tsunade nodded her head in agreement.
