Chapter 7 - Home

After their conversation with Tazuna about the share of assets they immediately left for home, it took about one week for them to arrive back to the hidden leaf, though the only reason it took that that was probably because of the amount of time they wasted messing around.

"I'll go report to the hokage, you guys can go home and rest." Kakashi said smiling at his genins. "Ye-" Sakura's celebrating was cut short by Kakashi change of mind. "Actually, it'd be better if you came with me, to get an idea of how mission reports are to be given." he smiled to himself, that was great idea.

Sakura frowned but listened regardless.

They quickly made their way to the tower and knocked three times at the hokage's door. "Come in." his deep voice rang through the building. The genins as well as the missing nins sucked in a breath before entering.

"Hatake, may I know why there's a missing nin in my office?" he asked smirking under his mask. 
"Naruto said Jeriyah-sama owed him a favour and that you'd allow his girlfriend and her father become apart of the village." Kakashi explained throwing Naruto and Jeriyah under the bus. Naruto frowned while glaring at his jonin sensei, which Kakashi promptly ignored.

"Interesting." he said tapping on his desk while thinking.

"I see, you can leave for now, Zabuza and his daughter are to remain here while I speak to them." the hokage explained motioning for the genins to leave which they did quickly.

...

"So, Mr. Hokage can we stay in your village?" Zabuza asked raising his non-existing eyebrow. 

Naruto then proceeded to dislodge the mask from his face, "I don't know, can you?"

"Naruto???" asked Haku in shock. "The one and only." he said with a smirk. "Explain." she demanded with a pout. The Hokage chuckled before speaking.

"Well, I've been training with Jeriyah and Tsunade, I honestly don't know how to explain. But this does explains my size doesn't it?" he finished with a smirk. Haku blushed before asking about living arrangements. Naruto motioned for her to come to him before speaking.

"You'll be living with me obviously. I guess Zabuza can stay with us too." he said rolling his eyes at the last bit causing Zabuza to copy the action. "I'll have Zabuza registered as a jonin and you as a chunin, you'll be a free range ninja for assists. So sometimes I might assign you to the other genins, or to chunins and jonins. I won't send you away too far. You've been away from me long away long enough." he finished pulling her into his lap and giving her a small kiss.

Her face went redder than before as she tried to pull herself from his lap. "Someone might see us." 

"This is my office." he reminded her. "No one can just walk in on us."  he smiled into her neck.

"I'm still here you know."

"Don't care."

"Kakashi-sensei, do you think the hokage will let her, well them live here? I mean, they are criminals." Sakura asked Kakashi. "I'm honestly not sure myself. Naruto do you know? It seems like you know the hokage personally." commented Kakashi looking up from his book.

"You can kinda say that, I know someone that knows him, Pervy-sage.  So, a friend of a friend." he tried explaining. "I see." said Kakashi suspiciously. It seems as if Naruto was about to say something but stopped himself."

"Hey Sasuke wanna train with me?" Naruto offered. At a glance it wouldn't be obvious, but Naruto could see the loneliness in the Uchiha's eyes. Sasuke looked at Naruto in shock and suspicion. "Why? I haven't been anything but mean to you?" he asked raising an eyebrow. 

"Whaaa? Nothing I just wanted to hang out. I'll probably be having Haku living with me, so I won't be lonely, but don't you live alone? I thought you'd like the company." Naruto explained.

"What do you mean she'll be living with you?? She a girl." said Sakura shocked. "And?" asked Naruto confused. "Isn't your mom and you a girl? Don't you live with your dad?" he asked. 

"That's different. My mom and dad are grown." she explained. "Mind your own business." said Naruto looking back at Sasuke.

"I don't need your pity." said Sasuke angrily. "It's not pity its love." said Naruto making kissy faces at Sasuke before laughing. Sasuke's face turned red in anger and Sakura smacked him in the head.

"Fine, stay by yourself when I was only trying to be nice." said Naruto before stomping off.
